Chapter 35:Ready?

Sabo pov
We left the Hotel, and immediately I called the ship to come & pick us up. The captain of the ship told us that he'd be there in 30 minutes.

"Okay, so for the time being, we're going to hide & keep a look out for the ship." I said.
Arabella nods. "Okay, I understand."

She took off her heels so that it would be easier for her to run. I held her hand, and we sprinted off down the beach. We ran towards the location where we agreed to meet the ship.

"Arabella?" I called.
"Yeah?"
"You still have the Bismuth?"
"Yes! I have it right here." She said as she showed it.
I crook my head to see that she had it in her hand, I smiled at her. "Good! Means we did our bit for Dragon-san! Now lets keep running before security realizes that we stole it!"

As we ran, I couldn't help but feel a large amount of happiness in the pit of my stomach. Secretly, I'd steal glances of Arabella. I'd watch each intake of breath as she ran, how her hair flowed so fluently in the wind, how bright her eyes were in the light & how her hand felt in mine. And for some strange reason, I couldn't help but laugh.

"Why are you laughing?" She asked.
I chuckled. "Because I love you, and I'm so glad I met you, Ara!"
For a moment, she stared at me with a blush. Then finally she smiles. "Yeah! I love you too, I don't wanna leave you!"

And so, I picked her up bridal style, and carried on running. I ran over roofs & down the sand.

Arabella pov
He kept on running until he found some underbrush that still looked out to the sea. Carefully, he set me down on the ground, then laid down next to me. I laid down next to him, and wrap his arm around me, and leaned my head on his chest. His heart was beating fast, and he was panting.

I chuckled. "I still could've ran you know. I don't wanna weigh you down."
"Nah..." He pants. "I wanted to make you feel like a runaway princess. And besides, you're way lighter than anything else I've had to carry."
I blushed. "But you always make me feel like a princess & a woman. Like...tonight.."
He looked over to me. "On the balcony?"
I nod. "Yeah. I...loved it. It was so thrilling & beautiful."

He smiles. "Arabella...?"
"Yeah...?"
"I have to tell you something....you see, back there on the balcony...I felt disgusted with myself. I wanted to touch you, and I mean, really touch you. And I felt horrible because I thought that if you did, you'd think that I'm strange & gross....I don't want that at all."
I shook my head. "I wouldn't have thought that at all. I would've loved every second of it. You'll never ever be strange & gross to me, Sabo. Never ever." I closed my eyes, and further snuggled into him. "Sabo....I want you, and I still do."

We stayed like that for a while, all cuddled up like that. Later, Sabo & I leaned against a tree, and carried on cuddling. I could feel him breathing on me, and heard his rhythmic heart beat through his diner shirt & jacket. His hand cupped the back of my head, and he would run his hand through my hair every now & then.

*later*

I think I must've fallen asleep, because Sabo was shaking me awake.

"Ara? Ara...? Arabella wake up." He whispered.
"Wuuuh....?" I mumbled sleepily as I opened my eyes.
He smiled at me. "Come on, the boat is here. Its time to leave."
I nod & hum in response. 

Sabo took my heals, and I handed him the Bismuth, so that it'd be in safe hands. I held his hand as we walked out towards the ship that the army sent out to us. We entered the ship, and we were greeted by Koala & some other people.

"Good to see ya back!" Koala greeted.
I smiled sleepily. "Hey Koala..." I yawned.
She giggled. "Sleepy, are we? Its fine, you go sleep, Arabella."
"Thanks Koala. Niiiiight." I mewed as I hugged her.
She smiled. "Night, Ara."
I turn to Sabo & lazily held my arms out. "Wegh.....you look far away..."
Sabo chuckled, and pulled me into a hug. "Good night, Arabella."

We gave each other a good night kiss, and then I lumbered over to the bedroom quarters. I shut the door behind me, and took off my dress. I wore my undergarments under neath my dress. I climbed into bed, shut the lights out & immediately fell asleep.

Sabo pov
"So, how were you two?" Koala asked.
"Great." I smiled. "We got everything done, and we even had a little bit of time to spend on our own."
She flicked my ear. "You know you two should've been in & out of there easily!"
I pouted. "But I wanted to spend some time with Arabella!"

She sighed. "It can't be helped....." She looked at me. "Did you guys...do anything?"
"What do you mean by that?"
"You know.....have you two had it yet?"
I blushed, and hid my face with my hat. "Why are you asking this?"
"Because! Its about time that you two take the next step, right?"

My mind went back to Arabella & I chatting about our session on the balcony. What did she mean? Did she mean that she was ready? Or does she mean that she....gah I don't know?! I simply can't ask Koala about it!

I sighed. "I've been thinking about it..."
"Are you ready to take it, Sabo?" She asked.
I nod, a sudden determined look in my eyes appearing. "Yes."
"And do you know if she's ready?"

*flashback*

She shook her head. "I wouldn't have thought that at all. I would've loved every second of it. You'll never ever be strange & gross to me, Sabo. Never ever." She closed her eyes, and snuggled further into me. "Sabo......I want you, and I still do."

*flashback end*

I sighed hesitantly, before answering:

"I'll wait for her. I wanna see if she is ready. I don't wanna pressure her into doing anything."
"Well did she say she was ready?" She asked.
"Yeah."
"Well, then she is ready."
