MARK

(Y/N) came in just as Dark was regaining consciousness. He looked dizzy and tired. "You're almost done, guys...Dark...you look fantastic." she said. I glanced over at Dark again. He was still pale, he still had dark hair and silver eyes...but he seemed to have perked up quite a bit. "Hold on a sec." (Y/N) left the room and brought a colleague with her. "How many men are in this room right now?" she asked. Her colleague gave her a strange look. "Two...and they're both getting treatment in the same room like this? This isn't a very good setup (y/n). You know better than to have things put together in this manner." (Y/N)'s face changed. "It was a true bloodbath...an emergency...I had no choice." Her colleague looked very skeptical, but eventually shrugged and left. "Two! She said two!" (Y/N) squealed. "Dark she can see you...that means everyone can!" Dark was thrilled. He finally had what he wanted.

DARK

Incredible. It actually fucking worked. But now what? I'll have to be careful shapeshifting...if people catch me doing that I'll be in deep shit. I'll have to get better at walking because from now on I have to walk in public...no more of that floating, flying and levitating stuff. It was hitting me that with this visibility I was going to have to change a few things and it dulled my excitement momentarily. I was certainly going to miss flying and levitating...messing with peoples' heads because they couldn't see me. It would be worth it to be walking around being able to interact with people fully.  (Y/N) pulled the needle out of me. My skin was still cold and my blood was still black. Good. I liked it that way. My arm definitely hurt, but I wasn't concerned with pain that would soon fade. I was concerned with beginning to live a bit differently. Mark and I left the hospital in a rush. The night was young and he wanted me to feel what it was like to be seen. "I'm in my lounge clothes, Mark, I don't think people will like that." I whispered as Mark began dragging me into a club. "So change." he said casually. I found the men's room and entered a stall. I snapped my fingers and my clothing changed into something much more appealing. Mark and I danced for about an hour before I dragged him out of the club. "Come on, weren't you havin fun?" he asked. I was, but nobody in there was interesting. "I've said it before Mark, and I'll say it again, some of you humans are utter garbage. Never drag me into one of those things again." I watched a guy getting tattooed. I considered it, but quickly changed my mind when I saw those dreaded needles again. I watched people walk by me. One woman even stopped and complimented me on my 'cool contact lenses and killer eye makeup'...I didn't quite know how to respond so I just smiled. "You know you really should color your hair like mine." Mark suggested flippantly. I touched my hair. "Why?" I asked. "Because you should...come on, doesn't the red look nice?" I did like red a lot. "Sure, let's do it." I said. Mark purchased a red dye kit and we headed back to his house. Hair dye smells and it burns. I was begging for Mark to let me wash my hair before the peroxide had even set. He practically had to hold me down and everyone knows unless it's about sex or after sex sleep, I hate being touched. I am a demon through and through and I can't think of one demon who enjoys being embraced in a bear hug...or held down...or rubbed against, or anything of the sort. Mark holding me on the bathroom floor gave me some fierce anxiety. I clawed at him repeatedly. "Hold still, Dark. Fifteen minutes and you can wash it out." I growled at him. "That has to stop. You sound just like an animal." Mark said. "People aren't going to go for that." I growled again. "Like I care." I sneered. Mark just shook his head. "Dark, Dark, Dark, you have so much to adjust to." he chided.  I just sneered and scowled at him, while lamenting over the fact that he had me pinned down. Could I easily overpower him? Sure. Would I do that? Not to Mark. I just patiently waited for him to remove his foot from my chest. "Alright, wash it out." he said.  I jumped into the shower and tore at my hair for a good half hour before I finally felt like the bleach was gone. I wrapped a towel around my waist and admired my new do in the mirror. My hair was white in the middle. I smiled at myself. "Towel your head off so we can put the red in." Mark said. I did what I loved doing. I turned myself into a dog (and noticed that my head as a dog had white highlights) and shook dry. Mark grabbed me by my hair and dragged me back to the tub. "What was that for?" I cried in protest. "Shaking on me. I'm all wet now." I snickered. "Well you stood on my chest, Mark." He shot me a glance. "Well you did." I mumbled. "You were trying to wash the bleach out early. Now hold still, this red dye stains everything, including skin. Unless you wanna look like a murder victim, don't move a muscle." I held my breath. "Dark, you CAN breathe." he said. I exhaled sharply. "This doesn't take too long. Just give the dye about 20 minutes to set." I crossed my arms. I hate waiting. "Come on, cheer up. You got what you wanted." I sighed. "I'm a demon, Mark. You expecting me to have the same emotional balance as you is ridiculous. Give up the expectations before you get too disappointed." Mark just rolled his eyes at me. I waited those 20 long minutes and finally I washed the dye from my hair. I already missed my black hair, but I couldn't tell Mark that.He was beaming with pride. "Now if only you had my tan, and brown eyes." he said, walking by me. I rolled my silver eyes. "No thanks. I like mine." "Yeah, you do have cool contact lenses and killer eye makeup." I shot him a look. "By the way, you might want to do something about your eyes at night. They glow." That took me by surprise a bit. I was unaware that they...glowed. "How bad is it?" Mark turned off the bathroom light. We stood in front of the mirror and all we saw were two big silver dots. "Oh. Neat." I said. "Yeah, just thought you should know. They're already unnatural looking, but this is just...it will draw you some unwanted attention. Contact lenses, dark sunglasses, gouging your eyes out...those are all reasonable suggestions." Mark said. "What if I gouge your eyes out and put them in my head?" Mark turned the light on. "No, then I couldn't see how ugly you are." I snickered. "I'm YOU...and you just colored my hair to look like yours." A wave of realization washed over Mark. He turned on his heels and walked away. I laughed. "Gotcha!" I called after him. "Yeah, whatever, go to sleep." he said. I plopped on the couch. "Sleep." I said. "Sleep is for humans." "I've seen you sleep before." "For pleasure, yes." "Alright, Dark. Just knock out already. We have a big day of finding that lady tomorrow." I had almost forgotten.
