For Markosmate

Weird things had been happening lately. My best friend Soda has became more reclusive. He doesn't want to hang out anymore, and I have noticed these weird red marks on his arms. What was going on here?

Soda started going out with some girl named Rebecca which killed me because I love him so much. He was still the happy go lucky person I knew then, but now, after only a month into their relationship, he has changed, and not for the better.

I thought maybe Rebecca had something to do with it, but I didn't want to say anything about it. I didn't want to be wrong, and then Soda hate me for it. I love him so much, and it already kills me he is with someone else. It also kills me that he barely even speaks to me anymore. Maybe we weren't as close as I thought we were.

I was cleaning around my house when I heard a knock at the door. I was confused because I rarely ever got visitors. I opened the door to a crying Soda. I was shocked as I pulled him through the door. "What happened Soda? Are you ok?", I asked. He shook his head no. "Here, sit down", I offered, ushering him to the couch. He looked up at me through the tears. "I really needed someone to talk too. Your the only one I could think of", he told me. "You can talk to me anytime Soda. What's wrong?", I asked, but I sure wish I hadn't.

He pulled up his sleeves to reveal ugly bruises and nasty cuts. I gasped. "Who did this to you Soda?", I asked as I went to grab the first aid. "You don't have to do that", Soda said as I brought the first aid kit out to the living room. "Soda, your hurt, and I don't mind fixing you up. Now tell me who did this to you", I said.

"Rebecca", he whispered. "Why would you let her do this?", I asked. "She would hit me, and I couldn't hit her back. She is a girl, but she was hurting me so bad. I didn't know what to do", he said. I handed him the phone. "Call her", I said. "What?", he asked, terrified. "Call her and tell her its over. You don't deserve this", I told him. He smiled a little, and grabbed the phone.

I waited in a different room as he talked to her. When I heard him say bye, I came back in. "How did she take it?", I asked. "Not very well. But now, I can do something I've always wanted to do", he smirked. "What's that?", I asked. Then he leaned in slowly and kissed me. I kissed back, but pulled away quickly. "What's wrong?", he asked. "I like you Soda, but you just got out of a relationship. Talk to me in a month, and if you feel the same way about me then, call me", I smiled. He smiled too.

"I'll be calling you soon dollface", he said.
