Being Dallas Winston's little sister did not make life easier. The only thing that helped was the less beatings I got because of the fear that Dallas would kill them. Other than that, Dallas wasnt the best person. First off, he was practically boy repellent. No one wanted to date me, and how could I blame them? I wouldn't want Dallas as a future brother in law either.

Then I dont have friends either because my brother is Dallas Winston. I must be just as bad as him, right? Wrong. We are practically opposite except for our attitudes toward life. And the fact that the two of us could go head to head.

The only friends I had were Pony and Johnny, and that's because my brother knew them, and they were around my age. Weirdly enough, Soda, Steve, Two, and Darry were intimidating to me, but my brother wasn't. I've only known him for two years now, but he hasn't been intimidating once.

What surprised me was Johnny Cade. He asked me out. I didnt know why. Everyone was too scared of my brother to even get the nerve to ask. But he did and I respected him for that. It was great to know that someone didn't care about who my family was. Just me when they asked me out. "Sure Johnny. I'll see ya tonight!"
