"I'm scared nae."I said.
"Why are you scared?"She asked.
"What if he doesn't want to marry me?"
"What are you talking about Auri? Lucas loves you to death, why would he back out?"
"I don't think I wanna do this anymore."
"Nah auri! You not backing out."
"My own father isn't even walking me down the aisle."I said as tears came down my face.
"I'm sorry for that Auri."
"I'm so scared nae."
"Dont be, let me fix your make up."She said.
Me and Lucas are getting married today and monae is my maid of honor. Our wedding is on the beach. The colors are royal blue and gold. I literally had to force Lucas into a suit since that wasn't "his type of thing" as he says. I want to marry him but I'm nervous and scared to walk down that aisle. This is a commitment that were about to make and I'm so happy.
"It's time."Monae said.
"Ok."I said walking out the double doors of the hotel.
My maid of honor and my other bridesmaids walked out with their partner on their side. It was time for me to go next and I was nervously sweating.
I walked down the aisle by myself which was kinda sad but at least Lucas was looking fine in his suit. I made it to where Lucas was and he helped me stand on the alter. He took my hand and kissed the back of it. I smiled at him and the pastor started talking.
"We are gathered here today, on this happy and joyous occasion, to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony."
"Marriage is a solemn institution to be held in honor by all, it is the cornerstone of the family and of the community. It requires of those who undertake it a complete and unreserved giving of one's self. It is not to be entered into lightly, as marriage is a sincere and mutual commitment to love one another. This commitment symbolizes the intimate sharing of two lives and still enhances the individuality of each of you."
"Groom, do you take this woman to be your wedded wife? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her in sickness and in health, remaining faithful to her as long as you both shall live?"
"I do."Lucas cheesed.
"Bride, do you take this man to be your wedded husband? Do you promise to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him in sickness and in health, remaining faithful to him as long as you both shall live?"
"I do."I smiled brightly.
"Then by the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride!"
Lucas grabbed my by my waist and kissed me like his life depended on it. "I love you so much Auri."He said pecking my lips.
"I love you too Lucas."I cheesed.
