Chapter 8- He returns

My father looks at me and smiles, I cry and he gets up and hugs me. Just then, my mother walks in.

Diamond-"(Closes door) Sylvia! I'm home! I picked up y-"

Sylvia-"Mother, father is back!"

Diamond-"What... but how, I thought you were dead! What happened?"

Juntao-"I had to leave because that strange man years ago wanted to kill me. You're still beautiful... How have things been?"

Diamond-"(Smiles) I'm a model now."

Juntao-"Wow, a model? I knew you could be a model, not just because you're physically gorgeous, but gorgeous personality wise... I love you, Diamond."

Diamond-"(Cries) I love you too, honey."

Juntao-"(Looks) Hey, Sylvie dilly, are you okay? You look depressed."

Sylvia-"Huh? Oh, yeah, I'm just fine, just...sick."

Diamond-"She has missed three weeks of school."

Juntao-"Three weeks?! You have never missed school your whole life, why are you missing school?"

Sylvia-"It's nothing, father, I'm going to get some rest..."

I was reminded of what happened and went back upstairs to my room. Hours later, my father came in...

Juntao-"Hey... I'm coming in, okay? (Comes in, sits down) You want to get some ice cream? I know that vanilla is your favorite... (Gasps) Ooh, look who it is, it's Mr. Bewwy! (Silence) Listen, Sylvie... whatever is bothering you, I want you to know that it will get better. Just know that your mother and u are always here for you, we will do anything for you, we love you. The whole time I was away, I missed you so much, your mother as well. I missed the laughter we once shared, you can talk to us whenever you're ready. I love you..."

Sylvia-"I love you too, father. (Cries) I missed you so much! Please promise you'll never leave..."

Juntao-"Sylvie, I promise! I am staying by you and your mother's side."

He made me feel better, but not better enough to talk to Jaejung again... I can't talk to him yet... I just can't.
