Section 2

Two days later, I call Jaejung, he sounds upset... Is he upset? Did I make him upset?

Jaejung-"How come we don't hang out much anymore recently?"

Sylvia-"Um... Because I have just been so super busy with my hair and stuff for the upcoming festival. I'm so sorry!"

I don't want to tell him that I've made a new friend until the festival. The festival is four days away, Jaejung wants to hang out and so does Aiko... I have to make up something to convince Jaejung...

Sylvia-"Jaejung, I know you want to hang out, but I have so many chores to do here and things to handle for the festival. I still have to buy my yukata. Is it okay if we wait until the festival?"

Jaejung-"That's four days from now... but I know that you're busy, so alright. See you on Monday, text me later?"

Sylvia-"You got it!"

I hate to lie to him because he deserves so much better, but I had to. For the passed three days, I've been texting Jaejung and getting to know Aiko even better. I am so anxious to introduce them to each other because what if he likes her more than me? What if he finds her more attractive in her yukata than me? What if he dumps me for her? So many questions wander around in my head all day, I'm having second thoughts about going to this festival. My confidence in myself lowers as I think about all of these things. I'm sitting beside Aiko, eating ice cream, but as I start to think these things, I drift off into a daze...

Aiko-"Sylvia? Your ice cream is melting... Sylvia! Snap out of it!"

Sylvia-"What? (Looks at ice cream) Ah! Sorry, I was just lost in thought."

Aiko-"You seem tense, are you nervous about something?"

Sylvia-"No, not at all! I'm perfectly fine, I was just thinking and just got lost in my thoughts. You ready to go?"

Aiko-"Um... Yes!"

We left the park and went our separate ways... for now. I can't believe tomorrow is already the festival! I hope everything turned out fine, what if it doesn't? Someone get these thoughts put of my head!
