"mall boy"
Chapter three
---------------------

I awoke in a sweaty mess. Wheres an air conditioner when you need one? I stretched my arms over my head then glanced at my clock, 12:39. I slept in later than i wanted to but whatever. I tossed my blankets off of me and stepped onto the cool wood floor then made my way to start my morning routine.

I pulled up the denim fabric of my jeans then pulled down my tee shirt. After about 30 minutes later i wad finally ready. I wanted to go out and explore the town of Sydney today and currently i had 4 hours to do so.
I slipped on my black converse and grabbed my purse then left my cozy new room.

"Hey mum im going out." i said as i entered the kitchen revealing my mother pressed against the island with papers scattered all over the granite surface.

"Okay sweets. You should ask Luke to drive you." she told me her eyes still glued onto the papers infront of her.

"He can drive?" i asked walking over to her with an eyebrow raised.

"Yes he can, hes 17." she said looking up from her papers and placing a quick kisd on my cheek.

"Im sure i can manage walking." i said quickly then gave my mum a quick hug before leaving the house.

It had been a 30 minute walk, but i didnt mind. I liked walking and having the cool air brush against my face. It was relaxing. I continued down the towns street eyeing the stores i passed by until one caught my eye, it was a building with the word 'mall' printed atop of it. Perfect.

I entered the mall, many jumbled voices entering my ears. My converse padded against the tiles as I scanned the stores deciding where to go first. I looked over to the food court and spotted air brush tatoos. I had always wanted a tatoo but I'm too much of a wimp so this was the next best thing.

I walked over to the little stand eyeing the different pictures of designs I could get I decided on a semicolon, something simple. I walked over to the window of the stand and peered in only to see a boy with his back to me. I lightly tapped the bell that was on the counter gaining attention from the boy.

He turned around and I could finally get a glimpse of his face. He was stunning, with toffee colored skin and big Brown eyes that resembled a puppies. His chocolate hair sat in curls atop his head, he was adorable to say the least.

"Hey what can I get you?" He asked as he walked over to me and placed his hands on the counter that separated us.

"Airbrush tattoo." I told him pointing to the sign that read Airbrush tattoo.

"Wow, I was expecting you to say a piercing but that's cool too." The boy chuckled his aussie accent thicker than ever, enough to make me melt.

"I could never pull off a piercing." I sighed as I stared at myself in the mirror he had placed on the counter.

"Really? I think you'd look great with a nose stud." The boy said as he prepared the ink for the air brush tattoo.

"You do?" I asked him actually considering what he said.

"Yeah totally it'd bring out your gorgeous eyes." He said looking up from his ink to stare at me as I felt my cheeks become hot.

"Well i guess I'll get one." I told the boy before I could even process what I was saying. I knew my mother would kill me if she ever saw a piece of jewelry in my face, but at this moment I honestly didn't care.

"Really?" The guy asked with an amused expression on his face.

"Yeah." I said giving him a shy smile. He chuckled then prepared the things he needed for piercing my nose.

-

"You ready?" The boy asked as he held the needle in his hand dangerously close to my face. I slowly nodded then shut my eyes tightly, I grabbed onto the arm of the chair he had me sitted in. I felt a sharp pain go through my nose as he put the needle in. I let out a small gasp as he pulled it back out and replaced it with the diamond stud I'd picked out.

"All done." The boy said stepping back from me and reaching for the mirror. He handed it to me as i examined myself in the mirror, he was right it did compliment my eyes.

"Thanks...." I started then never finished because I realised I didnt know his name.

"Calum." The boy stated as if reading my mind. "You're welcome..."

"Amber." I smiled to him as I got out of the chair. I decided against getting the Airbrush tattoo because I felt enough changes to my body have happened today. I fished in my purse to find a 20 to pay him with when I felt a hand stopping me.

"Don't it's on the house." Calum told me. I flashed him a smile and pulled him into a tight hug.

"Thank you." I said as I pulled away, he just smiled at me. "Well I'd better get going, long walk home."

"Okay but only if I see you next week." Calum said opening the door to his little booth so I could leave.

"Next week it is." I told him before walking down the crowded tiled hallway to the exit.

-

When I finally got home I began to become nervous because I knew my mom would freak about he nose ring. I slowly made my way up the steps of the giant white house and pushed open the front door. Just get to your room without her seeing. I told myself as I started bolting up the stairs to my room. I opened the white door and ran inside, success. I walked over to the mirror that I had on my desk and I looked at the piercing. It was a little red and swollen but other than that I loved it.

"Your mums going to kill you." A voice from my door chuckled. I rolled my eyes already knowing it was Luke. Can't he just leave me alone?

"I know." I said into the mirror poking the little stud then wincing at the pain at the contact.

"Why did you even get it?" Luke asked his voice now from behind me. I turned around to see him on my bed. I rolled my eyes once again.

"Someone told me it would compliment my eyes." I hummed returning my attention to the mirror.

"I never took you for the type of person to do something because someone tells you to." Luke mumbled from my bed.

"What type of person did you take me for?" I asked looking at him with an eyebrow raised.

"Independent." He huffed falling back onto my bed so he was now laying down. He has no boundaries, I swear.

"Well Luke Hemmings, you don't know me as well as you think you do." I said in an annoyed tone.

"But I'd like to." I heard Luke mumbled faintly. So quiet I don't think I was supposed to hear it.
