Chapter Thirty-four
"Wanna see my Hemmocanda?"
Honestly I'd love to be anywhere but in my moms tiny Prius driving to the wedding venue.
But, sadly, i didn't have the heart to say no after she went on and on about how she'd be all alone. She said, and i quote, "no one loves me anyone, would you please be a good daughter and accompany me." Way to pull the guilt card, mum.
So here i am regretting every single decision I've made that let up to this moment as we drove to the last place I ever wanted to go. The faint elevator in the music really didn't help anything I was feeling inside, if anything it actually made it worse.
"I know you're just going to love this place, Ambrosia." My mother went on, adding a few other words that I didn't hear for i was too lost in thought.
"It has these twinkle lights that light up the whole space, its just beautiful." She smiled as she turned on her blinker, turning to the right down another long and winding road.
"I'm sure it is." I yawned, pulling my phone out of my pocket as it buzzed. The buzzing was a result of Luke texting my imessage, i smiled at the name he had set for himself on my phone as i typed a reply.
Daddy : Whatcha doing :-)
Kitten: dont ever do that face again.
kitten: and mother daughter time
Daddy : sounds fun :---)
kitten: im not talking to you until you loose that face.
Daddy: :-(
Daddy : answer me :-(
Dadd : please :-/
Daddy: Kitteeen :-(((
Daddy : fine.
kitten : thank you.
kitten : and fyi mother daughter time isn't fun when you're going to see their wedding venue.
Daddy: i'm sure its not that bad.
I sighed to myself as i read his message. He was always either avoiding the main issue or acting like its no big deal. And for some reason it really annoyed me.
Kitten: texting you has been the high light of my trip.
Daddy : oh, then it must be horrible.
Kitten : oh hush
Kitten : talking to you is the highlight of any activity i do.
Daddy : stop
Kitten : stop what
Daddy : you're making me blush in front of the guys
Daddy : they'll think im a wimp
Kitten : you are a wimp.
Daddy : wow thanks
Kitten : no problemo hemocanda
Daddy : wanna see my hemocanda?
Kitten : I already have.
Daddy : wanna see it again
Kitten : luke stop
Kitten: im in the car with my mom.
Daddy : Amber if you really think that'll stop me from taking a dick pic for you then you dont know me at all.
