Eliza's POV
Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. What the freak is that banging in my head? I lifted my head from the bed and looked over to see if Haynes was still in bed, he wasn't. He's probably making breakfast. Hopefully. I slowly got out of bed and noticed my feet aching. When my door sprung right open with two boys being loud and rowdy just like old times, I remembered. I drank too much and I wore super high heels. Awesome. I just stared at Edgar and Kai.
"Oh, you're hungover." Edgar pointed out the obvious.
"Well, Haynes left a few hours ago for work."
"A few hours? What time is it?" I panicked a little.
"probably three in the afternoon." Kai shrugged.
"Or nine in the afternoon." Edgar snickered.
"I had to be at work nearly two hours ago!" I shouted and quickly checked my phone.
Several missed calls from Donnie. He is going to kill me. I quickly changed into a pink and blue pastel tie dye shirt, light blue jeans and black and white stripes slip on shoes. I looked at the two, who were about to say something negative and stopped them. I kissed Edgar on the cheek and left. Edgar and I are super close, I'm sure if he weren't gay, we'd be married right now.
I took a deep breathe and then walked into work. Pete just stared at me, terrified for my safety. He gave me an iced coffee and wished me luck. I walked past Donnie's office, hoping he wouldn't see me. Okay, listen, I know I technically own this place, but I really was suppose to be in work early today. I had a lot of things to get done since taking off yesterday. So, since I wasn't here, Donnie probably did all my work.
"Eliza!" He shouted.
Darn it! He saw me. I am totally screwed. I am also not prepared for this at all. I took a deep breathe and walked in. Donnie looked pissed.
"Where were you?"
"Home, but I was promoting a club last night with a friend, that I was doing for over 10 hours." Hopefully he gets off my back for a bit.
"I had to do all your paperwork, plus mine. That's over 200 pages, so uh over 12 hours."
"Give me a break man. I-"
"You what? You drank too much? That's it right?"
I knew I couldn't say anything else to get him to back off. So, I started to walk out. He stopped me.
"Go home, Eliza."
I turned to him, "What?"
"Go home. You're obviously not fit to be working today and I don't want to look at you."
"I own this place."
"I co own it and if I think you're a safety hazard, then you go home. Sober up."
I couldn't argue. It just wouldn't have been worth it. So, I left. I didn't go home right away though. I stopped at my dad's grave. It would've been so much simpler if he were still here. It just sucks. I sat down in front of his grave and just stared at it. Waiting for something to happen. I'm not sure what, maybe a sign? Anything at this point really.
Then a moment later, I felt as if someone was behind me. I didn't want to turn around, I mean if I'm going to get murdered, might as well have it be in front of my dad's grave. Die next to the person I love the most. I closed my eyes and tensed up, awaiting my fate.
"It's such a lovely grave stone, isn't it?" A women's voice said.
I quickly stood and slowly turned around. I looked into the eyes of a women who has the same eye color as me. The same lips, nose, even hair color. I just stared at her, in disbelief. It couldn't be her, but all evidence point to she is. I think I'm looking my mom in the face.
