Hayes's POV

And, again, we woke up to Ambra screaming, with nightmares.

"What is that? Is she ok?" Her dad asked, holding his hands over his ears.

"No, nightmares. Again" Matt said.

"Again? From what?" Her dad asked.

"You" Matt almost yelled.

"Should I go help her again?" I asked.

"Yea" Matt sighed.

"Wait from me? And why is he going in there? Shouldn't you be?"

"No. Her and Hayes are really close" Matt said.

"How close?" Her dad asked.

"Not as close as he'd like" JJ said.

We all have him a look.

"I'm kidding" he rolled his eyes.

"I should go help her" I sighed, awkwardly.

"Maybe, not?" Her dad asked.

"Well, if no one else is gonna help her, j should" I said.

"Maybe, I'll help her" her dad said.

I laughed, and so did some of the guys.

"Doesn't sound like a good idea" Cam said.

"Probley the worst idea" Shawn said.

"She's gonna punch you" Aaron said.

"She really is" I nodded.

"Fine. Go. How often does she have these nightmares?" Her dad asked.

"Every, single, night" Matt said.

I walked away slowly, to her room.

I locked the door because I didn't want her dad coming in, as she woke up from a nightmare of memories about him.

That'd really be horrible for her.

I sat on her bed and shook her awake.

She didn't wake up.

I shook her again.

She still just rolled around, crying.

"Ambra, wake up"

She sat up.

She let out a breathe, and hugged me.

"Thank you"

"For what?"

"For waking me up and helping me every single night in a row. Instead of just going home"

"You're welcome"

This was the only time she would ever cry in front of me.

Or thank me.

Or hug me.

After a good five minutes she said "I'm not going back to sleep"

"Then what're we doing?"

She paused as she wiped her tears. "Let's go out" she said, as she got up and fixed her mascara.

She was wearing sweatpants and my hoodie.

"Did you steal this?" I asked, pointing to my hoodie.

"Of course I did"

I laughed. "When?"

She thought for a minute.

"Last time you left it here"

"Imma need it back, soon"

"Nah, its mine now"

She put her hair in a bun and I went to the door, unlocking it to leave.

"What're you doing? The window" she pointing to the window, laughing.

"Oh, course. Around you, everything has to be sneaky. Even though we could really go out the front door with no problems" I laughed.

She opened her window and hopped out.

I climbed out.

"Now what?"

"Well, its warm. It's 2 AM, and I'm looking for something to live down my embarrassment of crying with you every single night." She said, and laughed awkwardly.

"I don't judge you for that." I said as we walked off the lawn.

"I know. It's still embarrassing"

"Well, on the bright side, you have gotten so much better than when I first met you" I pointed out.

She smiled, kinda proudly, only for a second.

She didn't wanna show how hard she was trying to act better.

But that gave it away, even though she realised I saw her and put on a hard straight face again.

"I know" she said, calmly.

I laughed, a little.

She was so proud. It was cute.

"I can't believe he's back" she groaned.

"He seems....ok. Not nice. But ok"

"He hasn't changed. He's pretending he's changed. He's the same deep down"

"How do you know? Maybe you just don't trust him"

"Ya know, id like you to stop trying to be my therapist and start trying to be my boyfriend" she said.

"Boyfriend?"

"Wait....shit. I meant boy friend. Like, a guy friend."

"Oh, sure. Sure. Whatever you say" I smirked and laughed.

"It was a mistake" she laughed.

"Ok" I shrugged.

"Really. It was a mistake"

"Ok"

She just looked at me.

"What? I believe you" I fake scoffed.

She laughed and I let out a smile.

"You are a really good friend" she said.

"Oh! This can't be! The Ambra Espinosa being nice? To me? Impossible" I said.

She laughed and so did I.

"Thanks" I added.

Aw. They're so happy together^^
