After her only guardian passes away, a childish 20 year old woman named Momoko moves to Tokyo city to start learning how to live independently. While Momoko adapts to adult life in the city and struggles with living expenses, she dreams about start...
😳"Waaah! It's the rose gold model! Yuji, you're so nice! Oh my goodness!" I set my new purse down next to me on the couch once I'm finished activating my phone. It's a beautiful purse -- Yuji had gotten an almost identical version of the purse I had dropped during our encounter earlier today. It was a gorgeous pink sailor moon purse!
It wasn't the same, of course, but this one was ten times better! It was one of my favorite soft pink colors and it was made out of a much stronger material than my previous one. It had tons of space in it too! I bet I could fit an iPad in there or something!

I couldn't even get over my phone. It was beautiful, clean, shiny, new, full of space! Thank goodness I was able to recover all of my friends' phone numbers! I couldn't stop rubbing my cheek against it like it was a precious little puppy. Before I knew it, I was crying.

Yuji immediately started to panic, jumping up from the couch across from me, pretty eyes wide, "W-That was expensive you know, I thought you liked it! Why are you crying?!"
😭"Because!" I blubbered, "You keep doing such nice things for me and I keep trying to return the favor but it's not even good enough compared to how you've treated me...pretty soon if we keep this up we'll just go on and on doing nice things and paying each other back! It'll be an endless cycle of generosity! Only everything I do will be nothing compared to what you can do with money! And I'm poor! So poor!"
"None of that matters, Momoko. Besides, I'm guessing you just moved here, right? And alone at that. Of course you'll need some help." Yuji relaxes back into the couch, outstretching his arms in order to rest them on the back edge.
I can't help but smile at his words as I bring my pink manicured hand up to wipe at my tears. I really liked the way Yuji could be so generous but at the same time not understand the impact he could have on someone as a result of his kindness. I felt like that made it all the more beautiful.
😑"Now you're grinning?"
☺️"I'm just...really happy I met you first, of all people. You really helped me today, Yuji. Thank you so much. Really." I couldn't imagine how lost I would have been today if I hadn't met him. I probably would still be walking around the city looking for work without a friend to help me. I got to laugh today and relax in a gorgeous home, and might've even found myself a job in the most stress free way possible!
I have to make sure I do an incredible job tomorrow. My bank account and Yuji's chance at a clean slate is at stake.
"I sent my butler out to check for the remainder of your items and it seems like most of them were already gone from the spot before he got there..since we couldn't find your wallet, I could reimburse you for whatever you dropped."
"No! Don't put me even deeper in your debt. Besides, all of my money is in my pocket."
"What the heck do you have a wallet for, then?"
"I keep my family photos in it. I never did like keeping money in wallets for some reason."
"Well that's a relief, I guess."
"Perhaps, but..still, the photos are gone."
"I'm sure they'll turn up soon -- especially once whoever stole it realizes there's no money in it."
☹️That doesn't mean it's not valuable! My precious family photos..Oh, well...no one wants decade old pictures of a tiny snot nosed pink haired girl with crazy huge golden brown eyes falling flat on her face in almost every shot. At least I gave my parents something to laugh at when it was time for the pictures to get taken.
"Oh...it's 5:30!" I hop off of the couch staring at my phone in disbelief. The movers were probably already at the apartment complex waiting for me by now!
"Is everything alright?"
"It's great! I've just overstayed my welcome is all. I should head to my apartment and start settling in. I'll be going!"
Yuji stands up and follows me to the door, leaning against the wall as I start to put my shoes on and sling my new purse over my shoulder.
"Oh, would you like my phone number?" I asked, turning to look at Yuji as I slipped on one of my pink flats. When I looked at Yuji, he looked a little surprised, slightly pink in the face, even.
"Y...Your number?!"
"Ugh, what are you thinking! This is for work of course!" I reach up and thwack him on his forehead. After exchanging numbers, I finally step out of the exquisite apartment building Yuji was staying in and find a car outside waiting for me. As I sit down inside of it, I look up and find Yuji leaning over the bars, watching me from one of the higher floors. He lifts up a hand and does a small wave. I roll down my window and wave my arm frantically outside, laughing with delight. He was such an interesting and kind person! I couldn't wait to get to know him more in the future.
