After her only guardian passes away, a childish 20 year old woman named Momoko moves to Tokyo city to start learning how to live independently. While Momoko adapts to adult life in the city and struggles with living expenses, she dreams about start...
The director was so eager to see Yuji act with his new appearance that he skipped the photo shoot without a problem. Shooting for the first scene lasts nearly 3 hours. I couldn't believe I had watched so many films so carelessly, not taking into account all of the hard work and effort that went behind everything.
The entire first scene takes place at a dining room table of Misao's character's house. She and Yuji speak quietly at each other for the first few minutes of the scene, but it quickly escalades into a loud, earth shaking insult battle that ends with a slap to Yuji's face that Misao just couldn't get right! The entire studio thought it was hilarious how she was able to portray anger so well, but was so cautious about hitting her coworker too hard.
Each time Yuji called her the name that was to finally set her character off, hurt would flash over her adorable face for a brevity of a second before she jumped out of her chair, the piece of furniture sliding backward from the push of the back of her knees as she raised her hand to strike the golden eyed idol.

However, despite the false anger (that could have fooled anyone who didn't know it was for a movie) portrayed by Misao, when her hand came down to hit Yuji, she landed only a small tap to his face.
The first few takes were hilarious. Yuji seemed the most shocked of all of us, staring at Misao in amusement each time she lightly tapped him. Misao looked into his face and instantly reddened, melting out of character to bow apologetically. The corners of her eyes even watered.
Oh my goodness! She really hasn't changed! I have an immediate flashback of how she was when we were in high school. Each time she did a cute, clumsy fumble, she would turn red all the way to her ears and even tear up. If she bumped into someone, she would bow hundreds of times to make up for it.
I stick my thumbnail in my mouth, biting down to keep from laughing too loud amongst everyone. Who knew filming could be so entertaining!

After the first 3 hours of filming, the director calls for a lunch break. When the studio lights all come back on, illuminating the room and obliterating the illusion of the set being beside itself instead of the midst of an entire studio, I stand up from one of the chairs and am immediately flooded by a giant crowd. It takes me a moment to realize that the crowd was for me.
Actors, stage hands, designers, you name it were swarming around me, asking tons of questions that I couldn't even keep up with.
"Did you really do that to Yuji's hair?!"
"He looks incredible!"
"His hair has always been the same color, so it was a real shock for me!"
