Brian's P.O.V.

Still scouring the crowd for a glimpse of Freddie I was startled when Roger shoved a drink into my grasp.

"Plenty more where that came from." He winked cheekily.

I looked down at the drink he had shoved at me to see a plastic cup full of jet black liquid.

"What is it?!" I shouted above the music.

He shrugged, he knew very well what it was but wouldn't tell me, "You asked for something strong!"

I brought the cup to my nose and took a sniff, grimacing at the potent stench of aniseed.

I braved it and took a gulp, it was very sweet and very strong. It was disgusting, but just the ticket.

Figuring that I wouldn't be finding Freddie anytime soon I swanned off into the crowd to make conversation and say hello to some people, my parents, thank goodness, had decided to give the party a miss, and, as much as I wanted to spend this evening with Freddie, it was our night, I didn't have to look after any of them if I didn't want to, there were other people here to occupy me if Freddie really didn't want to be found.

Squeezing through the many people I was suddenly grabbed by the waist with a cheeky slap to the bum making me jump. I span around to see who it was.

"Elton!" I exclaimed, grinning and embracing him in a hug which he returned.

"Brian, darling! How are you?!" He shouted.

I nodded whilst taking another mouthful of this vile liquid that I was holding, "Great! You?!"

He nodded and gave me a thumbs up, "You look dashing! Still single?!" He played.

I laughed and put a hand on his shoulder, "Only for you, Elton!"

He fanned himself dramatically and we chatted for a little while longer about the new album of ours and the music that Elton was also working on at the moment, I couldn't help but giggle at the giant glasses he was wearing and the very tasteful hat that was plonked on top of his head.

Elton and Freddie were very close friends, so maybe Fred had already said hello to him?

"Have you seen Freddie anywhere?" I yelled.

He nodded, taking a sip of his wine, "The last I saw of him, he was snorting coke in the bathroom." He chuckled, shaking his head.

I felt my stomach drop as a wave of panic mixed with anger rippled through me.

Drugs. He knew I hated drugs.

He was on a don't give a shit rampage already and we'd only been here half an hour, for him to disappear like that and take dangerous drugs knowing full well how I thought about them, really hurt me. It's like he purposefully got rid of me to go take them.

I slipped away from Elton, promising him I'd catch up with him again later on and went in search of the toilets, hoping I'd find him in there but god forbid if I do...I'll give him what for.

Downing the rest of the syrupy drink in a bid to not only get rid of it quickly but to give me the extra edge of confidence, I found the toilets...but this club was a high class place, there wasn't just a room with several cubicles in there. No. They were actual separate bathrooms. Fancy little rooms that you could lock yourself into and do you business in.

And in Freddie's case, his business was to snort drugs.

There were already long lines of people waiting for the bathrooms so I just waited until I saw them empty and another person go in...and not one of the people to exit them were Freddie.
