Riley fumbled her way down the hallway tripping over her feet every couple of seconds. She didn't know where her class was at all but she figured she'd at least have some fun figuring it out. As she was about to enter another random classroom she felt a body hit hers very hard. she stepped back scared and was face to face with someone she didn't know at all, all she knew was he was very pretty. Riley blinked like a deer in headlights before jumping into the classroom thanking god that it was actually hers. Lucas turned to face the classroom door in awe of who he had just ran into, he was only knew so he had no idea who she was but there was something about her eccentric-ness that he admired or maybe even, liked. He saw some fingers move in front of his face and he turned facing his old best friend. Zay laughed at his friends love struck face and peeked into the classroom to see who it was about. He couldn't help but widen his eyes when he saw it was none other than one of his best friends Riley, it wasn't that he didn't know Riley was an amazing girl he just didn't know Lucas would like her so much. If he had thought of that he would've set them up the minute Lucas got here.

Zay snatched Lucas' phone off of him and quickly entered Riley's number. Lucas watched on dumbfounded at his friends but occasionally veered his attention towards the mysterious girl.

'Ok so I just entered that girl you were looking at number. Do what you want with it but remember, she doesn't know who you are.' Zay advised before walking over to tell Maya everything.

Lucas looked at his phone for a minute before looking up at the girl again and smirking, he had to at least try.

He typed on his phone before impulsively hitting send and walking off to class.

Riley bounced out of her class and over to her locker. She put her books in and grabbed her phone to check what her next class was, she saw a message on the front screen and assuming it was Maya skimmed over it. It wasn't until the words sunk in that she realised it probably wasn't from Maya. She read the message about 3 times before a tap on the shoulder pulled her out of it. She turned and saw Maya smirking before her phone was ripped out of her hand.

'OO a secret admirer I see.' Maya giggled and Riley rolled her eyes before grabbing her phone back.

'I'm replying to see who it is.' Riley deadpanned but Maya snatched the phone back once again.

'Sorry. No. Live a little Riley, we'll find out later.' Maya replied and Riley creased her eyebrows together, Maya knew who it was.

'Ok fine but I'm asking where he goes to school.' Riley retorted knowing that would win Maya. Maya nodded and passed Riley her phone back. Riley quickly typed a reply and walked off to lunch.

On the other side of the hall Lucas' messages went off. Lucas looked down and saw he had got a reply from the girl Zay said was Riley. He replied to her question and then realised he should probably address why he was doing this.

Riley arrived back at her locker and opened her phone to see two new messages from mystery boy. She couldn't help but laugh a little when the boy said he was scared of approaching her, she was no one to be afraid of. She was just a small invisible girl. She read the last part of the message and Riley felt like she was a queen. She had to know who this guy was. She typed her message and bounced off to tell Maya her plan.

Lucas jumped a little when he felt the text vibration in his pocket but smiled remembering who would be texting him. He skimmed over the message and nearly lost his breathe when he realised what she was saying. Lucas beamed and texted Zay to meet him at the doors before the end of school.

Riley stepped out of her room and smoothed out her dress, just as she was about to step out the door she felt a hand grab her wrist. She saw Maya standing there with a singular rose in her hand. Maya planted the rose behind her ear and kissed her best friend on the cheek.

'Good luck, I have a feeling this could change our lives.' Maya whispered and RIley perked up, she had no idea if this would change her life but she had hope. She strutted down the stairs and took one big deep breathe before she made it.

Lucas smoothed out his top and took one deep breathe, he had a feeling something was going to change but he just didn't know what.

He grabbed the rose off of the counter and walked out of the apartment with one big deep breathe.

When Riley walked in she looked around and saw no one her age, she realised her wasn't here yet and sat down at her favourite seat by the window. She quickly pulled out her phone to check the time but the bells pulled her out of her thoughts, she moved her head to the door and almost fainted when she saw who the person was. Lucas moved his head and breathed in when he saw her sitting there with a flower in her hair. He gave her a cheesy grin and moved over to sit in front of her.

'So hallway boy is Sa?' Riley asked and Lucas shook his head laughing.

'Guess so.' He responded and Riley pushed her hand out in front of him.

'Riley Matthews at your service.' She smiled and Lucas put his hand in hers.

'Lucas Friar, at your service.' He replied and Riley knew he was something good.
