Sleepover

Prompt-Rucas' first sleepover

Riley Matthews had just turns 16 two weeks ago. After a wonderful day of excitement of fun Lucas' parents and Riley's parents surprised Riley with a gift. It wasn't an average gift though, after a year of dating, Riley and Lucas could finally have sleepovers. There was a few rules like after 10 they had to return to separate rooms and that they could only have a max of 2 sleepovers a week for the time being. Riley and Lucas had had sleepovers before, but never alone. Riley always thought it was a fundamental part of a relationship to see what the other was like all the time before progressing. To which Lucas always reminded her that they were only almost 17. Even though they both liked the idea of having a sleepover they were also very nervous about it. What if you don't have time to brush your teeth before you see the other, what if you wake up and your hairs a mess, and most important to Riley do you wear a bra to sleep or not? She usually didn't cause it was bad for you but what if it was impolite to not wear one. It messed with her brain.

Now two weeks later Riley was standing at the foot of Lucas' door bag in hand. She'd basically packed her whole life and everything she could possibly need in it. She pulled her hand up but hesitated before knocking, she was so very nervous. Maya's advice didn't help either which was fuck him and that would break the tension. As much as she wanted to fuck him she wasn't ready for that yet and she wanted to respect their parents trust. Her hand still frozen in front of the door it swung open making her stumble backwards. Her eyes met Lucas' forest green ones and she stifled a laugh pulling him into a hug. He returned her embrace before grabbing her hand and pulling her onto the couch.

'So wanna tell me why you stood at the door for about 2 minutes just staring at it.' He asked and Riley looked down at her lap upset.

'I don't know I was just so nervous. What if this ruins us Lucas. I don't want anything to ruin us.' Riley sulked and Lucas put his fingers under her chin pulling it up to face him

'But what if the pressure turns us into a diamond, like I know it will. Because there's nothing you could do tonight to make me think any different of you. Because I'm with you for who you are on the inside, not your messy morning hair, or if you wear a bra to bed.' He ranted and Riley's eyes darted upwards at his words.

'Maya called.' She groaned rolling her eyes. Lucas laughed with her and shook his head.

'Well Maya called Zay and then he called me. Princess why didn't you just talk to me.' Lucas asked pleading with her. She shook her head and her eyes gleamed slightly.

'Cause it's stupid. I shouldn't be so upset about something like this' She scolded herself, Lucas was quick to comfort her though, scooping her into his arms.

'Hey your nervousness is valid. Now I was thinking we talk in my room while listening to Dear Evan Hansen.' Lucas suggested already running down the hall.

'Are you trying to make me cry. You know that musical is purely sad optimism.' She called getting up off of the couch.

'What an oxymoron.' He calls back already on his bed and turning on his laptop to open Spotify.

Riley quickly jumped on the bed next to him and snuggled into his chest. She started talking about her future as anyone have a map played in the background.

'Kids?' She asked and Lucas choked on air.

'Yeah I want some with you. Maybe two.' He asked and Riley's eyes beamed and her smile grew.

'I want two too.' She beamed and Lucas couldn't help but kiss her forehead.

'Kids.' Lucas' mum called from down the hall. The pair raced into the kitchen knowing that Lucas' mum had bought home Mcdonalds. Lucas picked out his chicken big mac and Riley pulled out her medium mcchicken and medium fries.

Lucas' mum stood there waiting and coughed when no one noticed. Riley and Lucas snapped her head towards her and pulled her into a hug.

'Hi Mrs Friar.' Riley beamed bouncing and taking a plate to the dining room table. Mrs Friar grabbed her plate and sat beside Riley while Lucas tried to be noticed knowing the two girls were very close and similar.

'So Riles has Lucas been treating right while you've been here.' Mrs Friar asked biting her cheeseburger. Riley smiled and nodded before replying.

'Yes he did put on Dear Evan Hansen which made me cry but other than that he was great.' She answered and Lucas kicked her foot playfully under the table.

'Well that's just mean, does he get some satisfaction oput of making you cry.' Mrs Friar joked and turned to Riley winking.

'This means war.' Riley spoke simply and Lucas' gaze dropped.

'Oh no.' Lucas droned and Riley and Mrs Friar moved towards the cupboard pulling out monopoly.

'MONOPOLY!' They shouted and Lucas groaned finishing his dinner and walking over to the lounge room knowing he couldn't fight it.

'I'm gonna lose aren't I' Lucas spoke already knowing the answer.

Both the girls nodded and continued to set up the game.

Lucas lost, Lucas lost really bad. He basically shouldn't have even played the game at all.

While Lucas' mother packed up Riley and Lucas cleaned the kitchen, well Riley did while Lucas sulked drying the dishes.

'Oh stop sulking you'll win next time.' Riley reassured but Lucas just shrugged her off and walked to the bathroom.

'Is it 9:45 already.' Riley called and Lucas nodded his head making room for her at the vanity. Riley smiled and walked to Lucas' room to grab her toothbrush but quickly returned with a green mask on her face and a toothbrush in her mouth.

Lucas spat in the sink and when he looked up and saw Riley he jumped and almost screamed. Riley couldn't help but laugh as she washed off the green foaming cleanser and did a gargle of mouthwash.

'So what's with the green shit.' Lucas mumbled while he used a face washer to wash his face.

'It removes dirt from my skin so it doesn't go all gross.' She simply spoke before walking out of the bathroom. Lucas nodded slightly and followed her like a lost puppy until he reached her bedroom door.

'Good night Lucas. Thanks for the great night.' She mumbled.

'Good night Riley, thanks for everything.' Lucas retorted kissing her lips and walking away.
