"He went home." Tony said quietly. It seems like no matter how hard I try, I can't stop crying. Jesus Christ, what did I do? Out of all the ways that could've gone, it ended with me crying in the shower like a wuss and Vic leaving.

"Why'd you run off?" Jaime asked. I shrugged my shoulders.

"Hm?" He said.

"I don't know." I answered.

"You don't know," he repeated, "that's a great excuse, isn't it? Tony, Mike, and I might sound like assholes when we joke with you sometimes, but at least we don't run away from a harmless kiss after flirting for twenty minutes." He said angrily.

"What was I supposed to do, Jaime? I have a boyfriend. Not to mention he's twenty-seven and I'm thirteen. That kiss was far from harmless." I said.

"Your relationship didn't seem to matter an hour and a half ago when you were all over Vic. Since when does your age difference matter? It hasn't stopped you guys from doing anything before." Tony spoke up. I turned to him.

"That's because his kiss was more than a 'let's screw with them' thing. It was real. I ran off because I saw the look on his face when I didn't kiss back. I feel like I've ruined everything." I said.

"You mean the look of embarrassment? Yeah, no shit it was real, he actually likes you. After you ran off, he realized everything was fun and games for you, and not what he felt. He started freaking out and left before you came back so things wouldn't be more awkward than it already is. Mike said he locked himself in his room and won't talk to anyone. You didn't ruin everything, just a part of it." Jaime said.

"Wow, thanks. That really makes me feel better. So what do I do? Run up and kiss him? What about Taylor?" I said sarcastically.

"I'm not trying to make you feel better or worse. I'm trying to tell you what's going on. Just go over and talk it out. I'm not saying you should kiss him, but you should kiss him. Taylor doesn't have to know." He laughed lightly at the end. This felt wrong, like I shouldn't be doing this. I dried my hair as best as I could with my towel and followed Jaime and Tony back to their house.

"Where is he?" I asked Mike. He told me to follow him and he led me through the house. The lock was the same one that we had to the bathroom on the bus.

"Do you have a quarter or something?" I asked him. He reached into his wallet and pulled out a nickel.

"Will this work?" He asked softly. I nodded and stuck it in the door. I twisted it counter clockwise and opened the door after I handed the coin back. Mike tried to follow me in.

"Five minutes." I said as I shut the door and locked in again.

"Vic?" I called. There was no answer, so I walked over to his bed. He was staring out his window.

"Hey, can we talk?" I asked. He sat up and I noticed he didn't have a shirt on. 'No Blake, focus.' I mentally scolded myself. He motioned for me to sit on the edge of the bed, so I did.

"I'm sorry for running off. It's not that I didn't like it, I did, but I think that's problem. Jaime told me you like me, and quite frankly, I like you too, but if anything were to happen, my dad's would beat your ass. I just don't want anyone to get hurt in this situation. I have Taylor, and you can easily get dates. If we still like each other in the future, then maybe we can form a relationship, but for right now, let's just be friends that like to fuck with Mike, Jaime, and Tony." I got him to laugh at that last part.

"One last thing?" I asked.

"What?"

"Kiss me." I looked into his eyes.
