"Hey mom."

I heard a plate crash.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My mom stood cemented to the floor, her eyes wide ; her mouth hanging open.
"Oh. My. Dear. Lord. Francis?!" She asked. Whispering. Crying.
"I guess..?" She didn't even wait for him to finish talking, she went and hugged him. Crying on his shoulder.
"My boy!!! Oh my Lord thank you!!" She was crying hysterically and hugging him so hard, trying to make up for lost time or something.
CJ had his arms around her, crying for dear life as well. My heart literally broke just watching this scene in front of me.
They stayed like that for a good 3 minutes before my mom got a grip on the faucet that controls her tears and just stared at CJ.
"If I tell you that my heart feels the way it felt when I first held you, would you believe me?" She asked, smiling brightly.
"But what if the DNA test says I'm not your son?" He asked, signs of fear overpowering his eyes.
"I don't care what these stupid things say. My bones and my heart tell me that you're my Francis. Or, sorry, CJ. Come with me honey, I want you to tell me everything that I missed in your life, then we'll go to meet your father, okay?" She says, dragging him away towards the living room, not even sparing me a second glance.
Well ok.
Now we know who her favourite child is. I decided that I needed to tell someone about this. So I called Jaycee back to see what he wants to tell me, so I can get this little feud out of the way and to tell him.
Calling Jay(cee me rolling)👩🏽‍🚀:
J: Lexa!!
A: Hi. What'd you want to tell me?
J: I wanted to say that I'm really really sorry about what I said. To be honest I don't know what hit me. I just didn't want to see you hurt again Lex; you mean more to me than the whole world combined. I promise you that I'll give Jace a chance.
A: You really will?
J: For you? Anything. Does that mean we're good??
A: It definitely does Jay Jay.
J: GOD I missed that name! And I missed you
A: Awwww I missed you too. By the way, there's something I need to tell you tomorrow so remind me ok??
J: Definitely will do. YEAH?! OK I'M COMING!! Sorry Lex gotta go. I'll see you tomorrow!
A: See ya!
If I said that dad took the news lighter than mom did, I would say that that would be the understatement of the century. My dad literally froze with his eyes wide open for like 5 minutes. He then hugged CJ for so long I thought he was frozen in place. It was such an emotional day, but tomorrow would be even better. Why, you ask? The DNA test will take place tomorrow, which means CJ won't be able to go to school.
"So honey, do you want to keep the name CJ?" Asked my mom as she fed him. Yup. With a spoon.
"I think so, ya. Mom." He said, clearly ecstatic. "But what if the DNA test turned out to not be a match? What then?"
"It won't. The picture you showed me of you as a kid proves that you're the same person CJ." Dad chimed in, patting his back and pouring him a glass of lemonade.
