The next day, she and Dawn casually entered the office. They were greeted by Vice and Vina upon entering the office.

Lea smiled.

And Dawn did, too.

She then fixed her table and started praying before working.

Her phone beeped. Indicating a text from -- of course, Aga is the only person who would text her at this early hour.

From Aga:
I would just like to remind you... Huwag ka nang lalapit sa kanya.

She smirked. Aga is jealous.

And her inner self scolded her:

Right, Aga is jealous because he is your bestfriend. He doesn't want to be replaced.

But the other inner self answered:

Aga could be jealous because he wants your attention. And maybe because he is starting to fall in love with you.

And then she heard someone speak.

And because she is currently having a day dream, she, out of nowhere, answered, without really understanding what that person asked or told her, "Fall in love."

"With you?"

She startled and she went back to her senses as she realized what she's doing and who the person in front of her is.

"Sir Christian, sorry. Ano po ulit 'yon?"

"Anong iniisip mo?" he asked.

She shook her head, "Ano pong kailangan mo?"

"Ano munang iniisip mo?" he asked again.

"Sir, wala po akong time para makipag-good time, okay?" she told him and opened the folder on top of her table.

"Ang sungit mo. Ang aga-aga pa para magsungit, uy."

She heard a soft chuckle and it was Vice. Who else could that be, right? She glared at him and he immediately turned to his table and started working.

"Bakit po ba? Is there anything you need? May iuutos po ba kayo sa akin?" she calmly asked him.

He shook his head, "Wala. I just want to ask if you reached home safely last night."

She nodded, "I wouldn't be alive if I didn't."

He smirked, "Mas cute ka kapag nagsusungit ka. You're more attractive. Has someone said that to you already?"

She did her best to hold back her smile but she failed.

"But you're lovely when you smile. I like that."

She then rolled her eyes and looked around. Few people were already looking at them. Not to mention her friends who were already talking to each other.

She took a pen from her table and sticky note and she started writing right in front of Christian.

After writing, she handed it to him.

As he read the note, she then opened her laptop and busied herself.

Are you flirting me?

Christian smirked. "Can I borrow your pen?"

She gave it to him without looking at him.

After a moment, she received the sticky note.

What if I am? Am I not allowed?

She shook her head and held her temple.

Work Ethics. Bawal. Okay? Stop this.

Christian smirked.

Who cares about work ethics? I care more about this feeling I have for you. Is that wrong?

She looked at him. He smiled.

Yes.

Okay.

Okay, what?

He chuckled and kept the sticky note, "Okay. You can't stop me, though. Have a nice day, Carmen."

That's when he left her table and went inside his office.

Her friends went to her to ask her.

"Sticky note serye, fren?" Dawn asked.

"Anong pinag-usapan niyo?"

She shook her head, "Wala. Ang sabi niya, huwag daw kayong chismoso at magtrabaho na tayo."

"Ang landi. Nakakaasar. Isusumbong kita kay Aga." Vina warned her.

She rolled her eyes again, "Samahan ko pa kayo."

"Weh?" it was Dawn giving her a look.

"Ewan ko sa inyo."

Her phone beeped again.

From: Aga
Hey, are you okay? Bakit hindi ka nagrereply?

Oo nga pala. Dumating kasi si Christian.

To: Aga
You know how impossible that is. He is my boss.

From: Aga
Kaya nga. As much as possible, layuan mo siya.

To: Aga
Aga, you're not my boyfriend, okay?

From: Aga
Gusto mo bang gawin akong boyfriend? :)

She smiled.

Yuck, Aga is a flirt.

And Christian is, too.

These two.

And wait, her hair, watch out.

To: Aga
Hindi ka papasa sa standards ko.

From: Aga
I'll do my best para pumasa ako sa'yo.

To: Aga
Ang aga mong lasing. Magtrabaho ka na lang para may magawa kang matino ngayon. Bye.

And then she kept her phone to focus on work.

Ang hirap namang maging maganda. Pinag-aagawan.
