Imperfectly Perfect

"Did you hear that?" Lea asked Dawn, who was busy washing her face.

Lea went straight to Dawn's room after taking a shower just to ask her this.

"Hear what?" Dawn asked her back.

She giggled,"Sabi ni Aga, he would make me his girlfriend."

Dawn smiled, too and looked at her, "Really?!"

She clapped her hands, "Yes!"

"Sana bago niya sinabing gagawin ka niyang girlfriend, tinanong ka niya kung pwede ba siyang manligaw."

She was stopped.

"Magpaligaw ka muna. Pwede ba? Or better yet, siguraduhin mo munang seryoso siya. Alam mo namang tarantado 'yang bestfriend mo."

She frowned.

Dawn went to her and sat beside her, "Lei, your heart is precious, you know that. Don't let it get broken again. Alam ko namang mahal mo si Aga but remember that just because you love a person, eh, ipagkakatiwala mo na nang buo 'yang puso mo. Sabi nga nila, follow your heart but take your brain with you."

She was working seriously, busy reading the papers and arranging stuff when a familiar scent scattered all over her cubicle.

She looked around only to see Christian standing beside her.

"Sir, why po?" she asked.

Christian smiled and placed a cup of coffee on top of her table, "Heard that you came here very early. So, thought of buying you this. Drink that. Energizer mo 'yan, 'di ba?"

She smiled, "Taong kape ako, eh. Thank you."

"Buti naman, hindi ka na tumatanggi sa mga binibigay ko sa'yo."

"Gusto ko kasi talagang mag-kape kaya lang, mas gusto kong matapos 'tong mga 'to kesa bumaba pa ako sa cafeteria."

Christian smiled, "Have a great day ahead."

"Thank you, sir. Ikaw rin."

"I'm having a great day already. Pagkakita ko pa lang sa'yo."

She smirked, "Sige, Sir, work muna bago landi."

"Oh, nga pala, I saw Aga kanina."

Her eyes squinted, "Saan?"

"Sa Parking Lot."

"Hinatid niya kasi ako kanina." she answered.

"Kayo na ba?"

She giggled unconsciously but as soon as she realized that she is giggling, she stopped, "Oh, sorry. Nope."

"Bakit ka niya hinahatid?"

"May topak lang 'yon kaya niya ako hinahatid. Baka may kailangan sa akin."

Christian shook his head, "I don't think so. Baka gusto ka niya."

She smiled, "Hindi. Hindi ako 'yong tipo niyang babae."

"Baka gusto niya, taga-La Salle."

She laughed, "Joker ka, Sir, 'no?"

"Singer ako kaya alam ko 'yon."

She laughed and shook her head, "Magta-trabaho na po ako."

"Go."

She nodded, "Oo nga. Ikaw rin."

"I am the boss, I can watch my employees working all day."

"Sir, baka ma-issue tayo sa ginagawa mo." she whispered.
