Interrupted Peace

Rey's POV

"Rey."

"Ben I think..."

I look into his eyes, scared, relieved, unsure, yet happy all at the same time.

I move back to sit on my heels.

My eyes move from his and to my stomach, as I place a hand to my abdomen.

"I think I'm pregnant."

I look to him and a smile spreads slowly across his face.

"Ben, I-" I begin and get cut off.

"Mom, Dad! Something is beeping!" Apollo shouts running from the cockpit.

Ben helps me up and we run back with Apollo.

"What is it?" I ask Ben, scanning over the control board and seeing nothing wrong.

"Found it." He says. "Something is in our path, pull from hyperspace." He instructs me.

I switch into the pilot seat and pull us from hyperspace in time to analyze the incoming ships.

"Is that the First Order?" Kayla asks.

I give a slow nod as the Destroyer dispatches Tie Fighters.

"I thought the Resistance had those ships though." Apollo points and an X-wing appears, then the Resistance fleet.

"Great." I mumble.

"Things just got worse." Ben says. "My mother is on board."

"You've got to be kidding me." I buckle myself into the pilot seat.

I hear the seatbelt buckle behind me and glance to see Apollo buckled up and Ben leaving the cockpit.

"Where are you going?" I shout.

"Gunner position." He shouts back.

"Great. Prepare for some rough flying." I tell Kayla and Apollo.

Finn's POV
We land on Sky Destroyer Base and quickly exit the transport.

"Okay if this lay out is anything like Starkiller Base we should be able to find some uniforms quickly." I tell Rose.

"Any chance you'll be recognized?" Rose asks.

"Probably a good chance, so let's stay clear from people as much as possible."

"Troopers." She quickly tells me and shoves me into a opening in the side panel.

The move reminds me of Poe and I when we escaped the First Order and met for the first time.

I stand as still as possible and hear the troopers march by.

"Is the coast clear?" I whisper.

She ducks out of hiding real quick, then gives me a quick nod of the head.

"Okay, follow me." I jog down the corridors hoping to beat the next wave of troopers on patrol.

We come to an elevator and I quickly hit the button.

"What if someone's on it?" Rose asks.

"They we take them out."

I hear the elevator approach and hold my breath.

It opens revealing two officers in deep conversation.

I glance to Rose and shrug.

We step in and as the doors close the officers finally glance at us.
