Based on "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne

You watched them walking passed you, their fingers intertwined and them giggling together. You could hardly stand it.

Somehow this girl that hardly knew her left hand from her right had won over Chris. You just couldn't figure out how, but you had a plan.

At lunch, you got a friend of yours to distract Chris's girlfriend for you, while you made your move. You slid into the seat beside Chris, smiling at your accomplishment thus far.

"Hey, Chris," you greeted sweetly.

Chris looked a little uneasy but not displeased. "Oh. Hey, Y/n. Um, my gir-"

You stopped him. "I'm going to be completely honest with you. I don't like your girlfriend, and quite frankly, I think you could use a new one."

He frowned. "What?"

You sighed. "Chris. You know what I mean. You deserve better than her."

"Oh really?" He smiled, letting you know your plan was at least doing something. "And who would be better for me?"

You leaned over and kissed his cheek before getting up. "Me." You turned and walked away, making sure he watched you leave.

The following week was a hard one for Chris. He seemed to look for you everywhere, just for a glimpse of you. When he did see you, you always had that playful smirk on your lips like you knew he wished he was with you. The only problem was his girlfriend.

He liked her, of course, but there was something about you that drove him crazy, even before the incident at lunch. He was just too nervous to break up with his girlfriend.

One day, it got especially hard to conceal his feelings for you. He stared at you basically all of class, in a very creepy way, but you were happy that your plan was working. Everyone else could see it too.

He went out of his way to be around you and came up with reasons to talk to you. He knew it was time to call things off with his girlfriend.

You were at your locker at the end of the day when Chris approached you.

You gave him your signature smirk. "Hey there."

He smiled. "Look, I took your advice. I'm not with her anymore."

"So...?" You drawled.

"So, do you want this," he gestured between you two, "to be socially acceptable and wait a certain amount of time after a break up or do you want to seem like I was a jerk and broke up with her for you?"

"Isn't that basically what happened, though?" you laughed.

He rolled his eyes, smiling still. "Yeah, I guess I am a jerk. You wanna go to the movies sometime this weekend?"

"Saturday, pick me up at 6, okay?" You started to walk away. "I gotta go before my ride leaves."

"I'll see you then," he replied quickly.

"See you then, jerk," you added the last part with a smile before heading for the school doors.

(It wouldn't let me tag you for some reason... did you change your username? If so, let me know and I'll tag you)

I feel like this probably sucks. I hope it was okay tho! Thank you for requesting and I'm sorry it's taken me forever to update. I'll try to update again really soon! M'kay.
