''Morning, sunshine.''

Matthew Greene hissed and disappeared under his blankets after witnessing the brightness of the daylight sun illuminating in his room once Devin Greene ripped apart his curtains.

''I love mom and all,'' His muffled voice was heard under the blankets. ''But do we have to see her at nine o'clock in the morning?''

''It just hit the afternoon, Matt.''

''Then why'd say morning?''

A smirk grew on his lips, knowing fully well that if he peered away from under the covers, he'd find his older sister standing in the middle of his room, glaring at him with narrowed eyes to slits.

''I was being sarcastic, sunshine.''

''Sure you were, honeybear.''

He jumps when something was thrown at him.

''Get up,'' Devin orders on her way out of his room. She grabs on to his doorknob in the process as she turns to tell him, ''If I come back and you're not out of that bed, I'm grabbing the bottle.''

As she closed the door behind her, she could hear him sucking his teeth and mumbling under his breath, ''I gotta take away that damn bottle.''

Devin was planning on visiting her mother in her pajamas, so the casual morning routine such as brushing her teeth and washing her face was already accomplished. The only thing left to do, really was fix her hair. But a bun would simply do.

After sitting in her vanity mirror and perfecting his somewhat messy bun for a whole five minutes, she dived back into bed and grabbed her phone.

While going through the process of unblocking Jeffery Atkins from all of her socials, her Instagram screen disappeared into an upcoming facetime call from Katherine William.

She immediately declines the call and continues doing what she was doing.

That is, until Kat calls her again.

This time, she answers.

The call connected enough for the frizzy hair blonde to appear on her screen. She was snuggled up in her bed with a smile contradicting her furrow brows.

''Hey,'' She chuckles. ''What was that?''

''You called and I rejected it,'' Devin flatly tells her.
