''Where the hell is my perfume?!''

Devin Greene had just stepped on the second level of the house for the about her fourth time this evening, in a manhunt for a specific perfume bottle that was missing from her bedroom.

Matthew's bedroom door swung open. The young teen steps out with a plate in his hand and the sleepy crust in the corner of his eyes. ''Do you have to make such a scene?''

He was presuming his way downstairs before his path was blocked by his older sister stepping in the way. He moves to the side but she follows either way.

''Bitch, move,'' He barks. ''I want a hot pocket.''

''Excuse me?'' She chuckles. ''Matthew, do you remember what's going on tonight?''

''A Criminal Minds marathon.''

Her head fell to the side. He couldn't be serious.

''Why aren't you dressed up for the Winter formal?''

That's right. The time was here. All the chaos and animosity for finding a date or the right attire for this one night was finally here. Matthew picked himself back up- most of him after the family dinner held at their father's house. He was thankful to have a persistent mother who wouldn't let a night like that go without consequence.

Though, Devin, nor Alyssa have had any updates on what's going on between Matthew Greene and Caleb Otero lately.

Until now.

He shrugs his shoulders. ''I'm not going.''

He walks around her and heads downstairs.

''What?'' She exclaims. She follows after him. ''What do you mean you're not going?''

She follows him into the kitchen and stops at the island as he continues to head for the fridge. ''I thought that was pretty straightforward to understand-''

Devin rolls her eyes. ''I meant why?''

''No reason.''

She folds her arms across her chest. ''Is it because of Caleb? Did something happen between you?''

He stood holding the freezer door open, unresponsive. He wanted to fire a remark, lie straight through his and deny the facts like Caleb was doing with him. But he wasn't that type of person.
