Poem Sixty-One ♬ - The Worn Sword

8 1 4

For years, this sword I've trained with,
It's so simple, like stone on a stick,
Has served me right,
Has served me as a light,
And has let me strike at the darkness quick.

I've been asked, "Why don't you browse others?"
I say, "This sword has served me well, I do not need another."
A conversation so common, now,
But I have made just short of a vow
To use this sword forever, it's almost like a brother.

I set out, my adventure calling me,
They may mock the sword they see,
But I don't mind,
It was mine to find,
And together we will slash away our enemies.
