CHAPTER TWELVE

╰☆╮

SHE WASN'T SURE HOW SHE MANAGED TO CONVINCE THE BROTHERS but she did. For the first time, Raven was joining the brothers on a case. Of course, for her first case she had to buy some fake FBI clothes, it didn't take long due to the fact that Raven was beyond excited and wasted no time in finding clothes. Instead of the traditional pencil skirt, Raven bought dress pants and she had to admit—she looked good.

"Just let us ask the questions, okay?" Dean says as the three of them step out of the classic black impala. Sam wasn't worried that Raven would screw up, she seemed like she knew what she was doing but Dean was worried about the way she'll confront people.

Raven smirks at Dean as they walk into the comic store and Raven's attention fixes itself over to the 'bargain' section and she doesn't hesitate to walk over leaving the boys to ask the questions. The conversation between her and Castiel was still playing itself in the back of her mind, even if she was still slightly drunk and tired she remembered everything that he said.

The two were no longer in the hospital, they seemed to be in some type of warehouse. Raven looks around her mind must've been playing tricks but the same angel from before stood in front of her. Her lip curls up in disgust and she backs away slightly, "Who the hell are you!"

"Castiel. I'm here to warn you—"

"Warn me?" Raven takes another step back inside of what the hell was going on. Her mind was dysfunctional after downing about six shots, she was sure she was losing her mind. Raven shakes her head turning around to look for an exit but Castiel speaks up again, "You have to help the Winchester's."

"Well, I can't!" Raven snaps turning around the look at the distressed angel. Her eyes soften and fiddles with her fingers, Castiel furrows his brows unsure of what the female meant. He could feel the power surging through her body and he wasn't wrong when Uriel mentioned the energy before they took Dean to the warehouse and he wasn't wrong when he first arrived at the hospital. The woman in front of him could help the Winchester's and possibly more. "I-I don't know how to do anything or what the hell is even going on! The only reason why I'm even alive is because I ran away! So, go find yourself a different person. I'm just tagging along till the heat dies down."

"Running into them was not just some accident. Even if your kind is difficult to find—" Before Castiel gets the chance to explain any further, Raven quickly stops him. Kind? Raven wasn't some type of alien or supernatural beast, she was human. A human. And here was some angel telling her otherwise. "I'm human. Finding my 'kind' isn't hard."

"Look, Raven, everyone is relying on you to stop the apocalypse. You can help. You're not just human."

Raven was ready to fire questions at the angel but she found herself back in the hospital with no one around her. The bleak white walls surrounded her and she suddenly felt claustrophobic, the walls were ready to squish her like a bug and Raven couldn't handle the feeling. Her eyes watered as her breathing picked up, doubts and questions filled her head. Was it just some prank? Was she going to wake up and find herself in Haley's apartment with Seinfield plying in the background because Haley hated a quiet house and even if the two emerge in a conversation she still wants the show playing? Or was she going to find herself in a bathtub with a hideous scar on her side because someone stole her kidney? Whatever was going on, Raven wanted nothing to do with it. Raven didn't want to be in the Winchester's mess.
