CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

╰☆╮

RAVEN PUSHES HERSELF OFF THE WALL AS soon as she sees both Sam and Dean emerge from the building with Dean still as an old man. She frowns knowing that they plan didn't work but a small part of her knew that going to retrieve magic chips from a man witch wouldn't end the way they suspected. Luckily, the witch that saw her didn't place her under a curse or worse because they would have to deal with two cursed people and one was enough.

The ride back to the motel was fairly quiet with everyone tired and upset they weren't able to get Dean his years back. The time was ticking and Raven was growing worried, thoughts of not being able to get his years back playing her mind. She quickly shakes her head at the idea of Dean dying and keeps her pace with the two brothers as they make their way towards the motel.

As they walk up the incline, Raven frowns ready to turn around and help Bobby knowing that he'll need help but he calls out for them. Raven cringes at his tone. "Little help here?"

The three of them stop, looking back as Bobby was struggling. Knowing that Dean couldn't push him, Raven is the first to move and pushes Bobby up the incline, the two walk beside her. Raven hasn't said a word since they came down from the building and she was thinking if she should give the game a go. She's only ever played poker once but okay Texas Hold'em twice—lost all three times but she knew the game, or at least understood the concept of it.

"You know, I still think I should play," Sam interjects, and Bobby takes over causing Raven to let go. She figures he only wanted a push, Bobby was never one to have someone baby him.

Dean stops walking but Raven doesn't notice until she doesn't hear Sam's feet paddling beside her. She frowns and looks over to see them, she sighs to herself and walks back. Dean shakes his head at his brother, "No, no, no. You're not good enough. I'm better. Bobby's way better. We both lost."

"Exactly."

"So, what?" Sam snaps, looking between Bobby and Dean. Raven bites the inside of her cheek, unsure of what to say, if she suggests playing they would shut her down without any questions. "So I don't get a say in this anymore?"

Dean takes a step closer to his brother, giving him the hand, "Sammy, when you get to be our age—"

"You're thirty, Dean!" Sam shouts throwing his hands up. Sam couldn't begin to believe what he was saying. All he wanted to do was give the game try and attempt to win his brother's years back. "Look, I've watched you hustle plenty of poker—"

Bobby shakes his head, "Knowing the game is not enough, Sam. It's not about playing the cards."

"It's about playing the other guy. I know that."
