CHAPTER TWENTY SIX

╰☆╮

WHEN THE THREE OF THEM THOUGHT THE case was over, they had began to pack their things. Raven was too focused on stuffing any jeans and shirts into her duffel bag that when Sam and Dean began to argue in front of her, she had wished she was anywhere but there. The arguing between the two kept going as Raven was in the corner by herself, afraid to intervene. The two were brothers and she didn't want to say anting to upset them. After traveling with them for so long, she learned to keep her distance when they fought. If things got too ugly then that's when she would intervene.

Luckily, they were called in by the sheriff breaking the arguing between the brothers and saving Raven from the awkward scene. Now, the three of them, with their uniforms, walk into the police station, Raven smiling at the lady at the front desk. Her heels tick softly as she leads the two brothers over to the sheriff's desk and she hoped he wasn't as annoying like last time.

"Sheriff Carnegie?"

They stop in front of the Sheriff and Dean is the first to speak up, "Sheriff, what happened?"

"I, uh, uh..." The man stutters trying to compile his words together and form a coherent sentence but his brain was mush after learning what had happened. He shook his head and shrugged his shoulders, giving up on trying to explain, "I don't know!"

Raven lifts her brows at the man, pursing her lips together in a straight line. Ever since the start of the case, the Sheriff has been a huge pain in her ass and maybe it was just the fact that he locked up someone that's innocent. The sheriff points to the interview room where two women are sitting at the table, crying. Humming to herself, Raven walks over to the room hoping they would get some answers.

"Excuse us, girls," Dean captures their attention. Raven smiles at the two easing them from what happened earlier. The two calmed seeing Raven's welcoming smile. "Hi, we're with the FBI."

Taking a seat across from them, Raven folds her hands, "Can you tell us what happened?"

"It was horrible!" One of the girls cried out, fresh tears streaming down her cheeks. Raven furrows her brows ready to question them about it but the other girl continues, "Way horrible."

"What was horrible?" Sam interjects, looking between them. They were being vague but they didn't want to pressure the scared females. Pressuring them would only lead to complications later on and they weren't up for that so, luckily the three of them were patient enough to deal with them.

The first girl shakes her head in denial, "I thought she'd be nice!"

The two share a look of disbelief still reliving the moment from a couple of hours ago. Raven looks over at the brothers who shrug and Raven returns her gaze to the women who began to speak. "I still can't believe it."
