CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE

THE SUN HAD COME UP and with hope the only thing swimming around in Raven's heart, the sick feeling that's been creeping in since of yesterday still present and stronger than ever as they drive into the lonely city. Every store around is empty and dark with no one in sight. Missing peoples posters plastered around wooden posts, signs ripped apart, and cars abandoned. Sam and Dean have their hands out, attempting to get some type of service.
When they drove into the city, the radio and their phones lost any type of communication to the outside. That's when things began to twist for Raven, a chill going down her spine causing her shiver in the back seat of the Impala, sitting right next to Pandora. The two females whispering to each other, offering some form of comforting since both are scared shitless yet refuse to admit it aloud.
"You know that feeling you get when you walk into a graveyard," Raven speaks up, leaning in between the seat looking at Sam and Dean, a look of worry plastered on her face. "That's...That's what I'm feeling right now."
Raven looks outside the window looking for any sign of living but finding nothing. Last time she was with a psychic she was somehow able to hear Sam and Dean from the other side and now she's wondering if you can do the same or if it's only with a psychic. Deciding to give it a try, Raven shuts her eyes and clears her mind of anything, only thinking of the chill feeling. For a second she feels nothing and after a while, it's no hope. Raven sighs opening her eyes and once again looking outside and the whole road is filled with people in black suits, the feeling of death sinking into her bones.
Her mouth parts at the sight, her jaw drops unable to speak or form any words. She averts her gaze to the seat in front of her, blinking and rubbing her eyes, thinking that she saw something completely outrageous. She inhales sharply and looks back outside, finding nothing. Just like everything before was never there. Raven's breathing picks up and she looks around the area, knowing that she saw something.
The feeling of a hand grabbing ahold of her shoulder causes Raven to gasp loudly and turns to face the person, Pandora lifts a brow worried about her. Raven shakes her head, letting her know she's fine but she isn't so sure herself. Taking another look outside, there's still nothing and Raven follows Pandora, the four of them going to the police department to search for anyone.

After spending their time looking for any people roaming in the police department and finding no one, they hang back outside the department waiting for the others to come. However, Raven couldn't stop thinking about the people she saw earlier. Looking down at her hands, she brings to pick on her cuticles, forgetting about everything for a second. She's beyond terrified about going toe to toe with Lucifer and having seen all those people with suits made everything ten times worse.
