CHAPTER TWENTY ONE

╰☆╮

AFTER THEIR QUICK RUN to the store and managed to grab the necessary things to hunt the demons, Sam and Dean were going around showing some of the people left how to use a gun and how to protect themselves when a demon came for them. Of course, Raven was paying attention, since she was still new to the whole supernatural world, but her mind kept drifting off to a certain brunette that was probably scared shitless somewhere. If it weren't for Sam and Dean, she would have ran out of the room before anyone could even notice her gone. Raven knew it wasn't her fault for Haley's weird disappearance but she couldn't help but blame herself. If she had only listened to Dean and kept her number to herself then, Haley wouldn't have to be scared.

Raven catches a glimpse of the two brothers talking among themselves and the sight made her smile. Looking down at the shotgun that laid on the table she frowned. It was taking every fiber in her being not to walk out that door and look for Haley herself. Looking over her shoulder, Sam and Dean were distracted. Her fingers wrapped themselves around the handle of her gun paying little attention to the people around her and instead had her focus on the two brothers. She had already tried sneaking off when Dean was collecting the guns and if he found out she was doing it again, he would be pissed.

"How'd you get stuck with those," The sound of someone's voice directing towards her causes Raven to quickly drop the shotgun. She turns to face Ellen Harvelle, her lips were in a straight line but her eyes had a twinkle of curiosity in them. Raven wasn't sure how the brothers knew her but right now her worry wasn't on who they knew that was in the same town, her main focus was the brunette.

Raven opens her mouth to speak but nothing comes out. Instead, she looks over her shoulder again, the brothers too busy lost in their own world to notice them. Raven gulps and faces Ellen again, her lips tug up in a slight smile, "Funny story but I was wondering..." Raven trails off, taking in account that they had mentioned something about her daughter hunting along side her. "...since we both have a missing persons case, why don't we head out and look for them. I can't stand sitting around and doing nothing!"

Ellen stared at her scanning her face, she almost felt pity for the girl. She didn't have the famous hunter-like appearance or attitude, she was innocent, way too innocent to be apart of the life. In a way, Raven had reminded Ellen of Jo, excited to hunt but she didn't have it in her to hunt. The thought of her daughter tugged on her heart and Ellen averted her gaze over to the boys, too busy talking among themselves. Ellen doesn't say anything to her as she makes her way over to them leaving Raven.

─── ⊹ ───

It didn't take long for one of the brothers to join them but their argument didn't go unnoticed by either of the females though, Raven didn't want to get in between the family dynamics. Even when she got back from wherever Castiel had taken her to, their was some type of conflict between the two brothers and it was best if she didn't get between them.
