CHAPTER TWENTY TWO

╰☆╮

ITS BEEN ABOUT TWO WEEKS SINCE Sam and Dean had a fallout and Raven was growing tired of their small break. It wasn't because she was spending most of her time hunting with Dean, he had actually spent more time training her despite not wanting her apart of the hunting life, but because Dean was acting like Sam's sudden departure didn't hurt him. It was obvious to Raven that it did in a way. When the two were actually having fun on a hunt, his eyes would glimmer with sadness and Raven wouldn't miss it. Dean was refusing to talk about it to her, she understood why but if he opened up to her then maybe Raven would do the same.

The two of them had finished up a hunt and were currently in the motel with Raven laying on the bed half asleep. With Dean's constant need to hunt drove Raven to sleepless nights or five hours of sleep before they would hit the road again. Her limbs were sore from sitting in one spot for too long and she began to wonder how Sam and Dean were able to do it all the time.

Yawning tiredly she turns her body to face Dean who was at the sink cleaning the blood or whatever off his jacket. There were times when Dean would disappear for the night only to come back smelling like alcohol and sex. Of course Raven wouldn't say anything and allowed herself to get distracted by hunt at hand. Raven wasn't necessarily jealous with the idea of Dean going out and sleeping around because let's be honest, she wasn't ready for another relationship...even after five years.

"Are you leaving?" Raven whispers softly lazily staring at Dean. Her vision was blurring by her tired state and she couldn't hold back the yawns any longer. It had been a long day for the both of them and even if Raven was tired she knew she wasn't going to get any sleep. She rarely does. The constant nightmares were too much for her, sometimes they would get to the point where she needs to take sleeping pills in order to get the right amount of sleep.

Dean looks up from the sink and through the mirror. He didn't enjoy leaving Raven alone in the motel room but she wasn't the bar type of girl and would rather stay in the room. He knew he should've stayed around with the female but he couldn't, not with Sam bubbling up in his mind.

"I'm not sure yet," Dean mumbled under his breath but Raven managed to hear only to receive a small hum from her. Whether Raven showed it or not, he knew that she was annoyed by his disappearances and the fight they had going on. Shortly after Raven joined them, they found solace in the girl. After Pandora had left to hunt by herself, they found Raven as a new comforter. Though, saying the two females were alike was completely wrong. They were so different and it was true, opposites do attract.

Raven snuggles deeper into the motel bed, ignoring the scent of cigarette smoke, hairspray, and anything else that was still lingering on the bed. Dean stares at her for a while before he resumes his work, scrubbing off the blood that had stained his jacket. If it weren't for Raven then Dean would've been seriously injured tonight and he had to give her credit, she knew what she was doing.
