Purgatory.
From demons to vampires to the oldest living monster alive—leviathans, Venus killed anything that stood in her way of the door out. Inside her own mind, Raven was screaming at pain, screaming and shouting at the white agonizing torture Venus was giving her. The woman who reigned over Raven's body is furious; the stupid archangel that trapped her in purgatory, she's wasn't made for staying in purgatory but on Earth to create chaos and war. Venus is a monster. One who doesn't care about who she hurts or kills. One who doesn't care what it takes to survive.
Venus is twisted and evil and made her presence known differently than Raven had. The woman only cared about the blade in her hand. Nothing more and nothing less. The second Raven made the choice to unlock Venus, a ancient, she took her place in the cell inside her mind. Raven knew she made the biggest mistake of her life.
The portal only feet away from her would lead Venus out to the real world—finally. The leviathans managed to escape somehow which left her seeking vengeance for making her time in purgatory a living hell. Gripping her blade tighter, Venus begins to make her way towards the portal, her breathing coming out in slow, shallow, breaths. For a second she believes she'll make it without any problems but the sound of footsteps cause the woman to whip around and use her blade. Cutting off a head.
She didn't need to be told twice, she didn't need to second guess herself, and she didn't need to think about it. Because Venus didn't care who or what was behind her, they were good as dead. Two more leviathans begin to make their way towards her but Venus doesn't wait for them to come towards her. She spins the blade in her hand and meets them halfway, the blade slicing through their necks.
"Bravo, πριγκίπισσα," A male voice speaks up followed by clapping which only causes Venus to quickly point the tip of her blade at the unknown man's throat. He quickly raises his hands up in defense, "Woah, relax, Venus."
Her blade digs into his throat which causes the man to grab the sides to make sure she doesn't stab him. The sharpness of the blade causes his hand to drip in blood. Venus tilts her head, "What's your name, γιος του Ares?"
"So you are able to detect your own," The man smiles almost proudly at her. Venus takes it as patronizing and takes a step forward, his grip tightening and blood dripping down his arm. "Untrusting as always, second in command."
"αρχίστε να μιλάτε ή θα σας σκοτώσω," Venus states, her voice firm and strong. She glares harshly at the man in front of her, the only reason she's kept him alive is because he was able to recognize her.
"Zane, I was a soldier during Ares' time," The man introduces himself as he slowly lets go the blade. He raises his hands up, submitting himself to Venus. The time of chaos has come again, Venus made her appearance in purgatory which meant that he'll finally be able to escape. "And I can help you defeat the leviathans."
"Without hesitation?" Venus questions. She raises the blade from his throat up to his eyes. A small dent made in his skin from the blade.
"Without hesitation, Venus."
Venus nods with smirk of accomplishment on her bloodied face, she motions with her head towards the portal thats beginning to slowly close. Without wasting another second, Raven slides the blade back into its sheath and walks into the portal. Zane rushes to her side. Nothing but her name left behind in the woods of purgatory. Every monster that she killed and came back looking for her, searching for the ancient that they just needed to kill. They needed her blood. They never meet anyone as ruthless and dangerous as her. And now, she was roaming the streets of Maine with nothing but red in her sight.

so this was originally the epilogue to this book, but due to lack of motivation, it never got to this point. this was supposed to be the beginning of the sequel and i was super excited but now I'm not planning on bringing her back.
which is why this chapter isn't very long. it was written in my notes for a while and i revamped it a little.
