Sooo I kind of deleted all the upcoming chapters. I feel like they were too rushed and too too cliché, so I'm gonna start again with a better plot I have in mind. Please bear with me :)

I never thought I would ever, EVER, E-V-E-R say this... But that volunteering session was absolute hell.
It hurts me — a lot — that the fact that something that has always felt like a breather to me actually, out of nowhere, turned suffocating.
I think the world is ending soon.
I stab my fork into the roasted chicken like as if it's Sasha's face, even though that can never be. No, not even close actually. Roasted chicken is way more bearable, tasty and good looking than Sasha's stupid face.
My facial expression turns sour as the flashback of Sasha's hand gliding down Vince's arm seducingly plays in my head. But then I smile as I remember after that, Vince shrieked away so abruptly that his shoulder 'accidentally' smacked her face.
Haha! Take that, Regina!
"You had a good day, bud?" Dad walks into the kitchen with the last dish for our first dinner together after several days. Oh don't worry, he didn't cook dinner — that would be a disaster. He ordered it from a restaurant downtown.
Ah, I miss Chef Aanya.
It's then that I realise I have been externally grinning like a happy dog. "I guess." I answer, shrugging my shoulders as I sloppily cut the chicken with my knife and fork. "How bout you, dad?"
"I had an extraordinary day." Dad laughs incredulously, looking at me with gleaming eyes. "You would not flipping believe what happened today."
Popping a piece of chicken in my mouth, I eagerly reply, "What what what?"
He leans closer towards me with a huge grin breaking on his face. "I found the document! It was right at the end of the safe all along!"
An amused smile inevitably creeps onto my lips. He returned the documents.
"But, if that robber didn't steal the document..." He murmured through his chewing, a very bad habit he has that always causes me to gag without fail. "Then what did he take?"
I shrug at him in response, trying to remain stoic, as if I'm oblivious to the fact that the robber we're talking about was actually Vincent.
"Don't worry, my private investigation team is stil searching for him." Dad then mutters something under his breath, and the only thing I catch is 'Selena.'
My mom's name.
This stirs up the many, many questions that have been bombarding my mind ever since Vincent revealed to me how she has a secret 'island where she has hidden 17 billion dollars'.
What the hell?!
Who the heck was my mother if she is capable of amassing such overwhelming amounts of money?
Surely, a veteran doctor doesn't make that much money a year, do they?!
This is so unreal, it sounds kind of ridiculous.
"What is?" Snapping me out of my thoughts, dad suddenly questions.
That's when I realised that curses do exist in real life. And mine, is the fact that without fail, I can almost always accidentally speak my thoughts out loud.
