CHAPTER 7

Two weeks later.

"Alright. I'll be there at 10." I promised and ended the call.

I put my phone in the bag and zipped it up before I studied the bedside table clock.

9:03 pm

I had around an hour to get there undercovered for tonight's match.

Panicking slightly, I grabbed my bag and stuffed some extra clothes, snack bars, some loose cash and my phone. I slung it over my shoulder and faced my full-sized mirror.

My eyes seemed to roam around my body, studying my faded silhouette under the hood of my lashes.

My huge black hoodie hid my curves from the world and ran upto my amid-thigh. My hand fully covered and so were my legs with dark leggings. I had black shoes of brand that I didn't remember on, that camouflaged along with my outfit. My bad slug over my shoulder which had already been double checked. I nodded my head in satisfaction and tightened my ponytail.

I put the hood over my head and made sure to secure it.

Time to go.

I sprinted off the door to the garage as fast as I could as I found myself chanting pleas of not getting caught.

I never got used to it although I had done it over gazzilion times.

I pushed open the door to the garage and walked towards the covered vehicle and tore the fabric off it, to reveal my ride.

There sat a Matte black fat boy that I had bought a few years ago with the cash That I earned from the fights.

I secured the hood once more and threw my leg over my motorcycle before I bought it to life.

The next thing I knew I was flying my way towards the arena.

I hopped off my bike and sprinted towards the Gate.

I found myself dodging all the booby traps before I finally hit the desired door.

I pushed the handle and stepped inside the area only to be greeted by a bone crushing hug.

"Hey Blair." The voice sang.

I chuckled knowing the voice all too well.

"Hey Calvin." I chirped back with a smile.

He loosened his hold around me before he steeped back with a goofy grin. Mine widened again after I took in his edgy look that I missed. Body full of ink, and not one cartilage missing a piercing.

"So, Ready for the big fight?" he enquired. I shrugged.

"I guess."

He raised his pierced brow with a smirk. "Well then. Go change cupcake. You have some asses to kick."

I smirked. "Alright. I need to get ready." I announced before I glanced back at the clock on the wall.

9:45

Well, I better get going then.

I nodded back at the nineteen year old boy before I rushed into a random room.

I found myself at Calvin's. I couldn't help but smile at his wonderful paintings. Unlike his brusque looks, his character is the sweetest. Him along with Sean mean the world to me.

I urge into my attire before I studied my appearance.

I was clothed with my black sports bra, my shorts and bruises that appeared to be almost healed.  I had perfectly braided my hair into two Dutch braids on either of the side to keep them out of my face. My signature mask and contacts were on as always.

Hurricane. My opponent for tonight. I voiced out in my mind as I scanned through the sheet where I had few things about him, written.

I smirked.

Piece of cake. I thought.

But I couldn't help but be cautious about him. If he had come this far, then he must be good.

I nodded my head. I can do this.

I popped on my teeth gear and my black silk robe before fled toward the arena.

I flew to the ground and stayed limp there. Blood and bruises covered my body. My head was spinning from the pressure that ran through my veins. The disturbing odor of sweat mixed with blood that flooded the fighting ring didn't help either.

I tried pushing my hands to support my body to get up but miserably failed. The side of my face was pressed against the gag-worthy floor along with the rest of my body.

I stayed limp there as I watched my opponent pumping his hands up in the air cheering with the crowd as my countdown was almost over.

...9, 10!

The crowd went wild as I stayed there on the ground in defeat as my former opponent celebrated his victory.

I felt me being lifted into a stretcher, probably to help me get stable. That was the last thing I knew before my eyes closed.

"Blaire!"

I was brought back to reality. I scanned my surroundings. I was one step away from being in the fighting ring.

"Is everything okay?" a concerned voice asked.

I turned my head to Calvin. I smiled softly and nodded my head.

"Yeah. Everything's fine." I looked down and bit my lip. "Just had bad memories visiting me" I added.

His frown deepened. "Do you wanna talk about it?"

I chuckled. "Calvin, you do realize that I need to fight in few minutes right?" I looked at him in disbelieve.

I scratched his head nervously as his cheeks emerged pink. I grinned and shook my head.

"Where is Sean?" I asked remembering. I felt bad I didn't ask for him before.

He grinned. "About time you ask"

"Shut up"

He chuckled at my pink cheeks as I raised my eyebrow.

"He has some errands to run." He looked behind him. "Hopefully, he will be here on time for your fight like he promised" he added.

I scoffed. "Well, he better be here now, Cause its time for me to go" I said.

He nodded. "Well, best of luck" He wished and kissed my forehead in a friendly way. I grinned.

"Thanks" I said. "But, I really think he will need it more" I pointed at the place where 'hurricane' stood with his crew.

He shrugged and grinned "Alright. Go get him tiger" He cheered and fled towards the growing crowd.

I turned my attention towards the ring.

I won't lose at the last like I did last time. I was so close to winning, but had to kiss the championships goodbye when my opponent had outsmarted me.

The next day when I woke up, I was so angry and disappointed that I swore to myself that I will train day and night to earn the championships next year without fail.

I will do my best to get the title in my possession. I nodded to myself and stepped into the ring.
