(Sword Art Online: Asuna X Male Reader.)

(So I am still working on a different Asuna X Male Reader, but it’s been raining like hell in my slice of the world, so I thought I make a Rainy Day X Reader. Get it? Ah anyway, if you are wondering why Asuna, I been watching SAO and yes, Sinon is my fave girl. Asuna is second fave, so I thought I give her more love. Also, Modern AU.)

(Your POV)

I sighed as I watched the rain poured outside. It’s been raining for the past two days. I didn’t mind, but today there wasn’t really anyone online, so I was pretty much on my own for entertainment. I got up from my bed and took a walk around my apartment. It wasn’t the biggest apartment, and I didn’t have any roommates, so I wasn’t really here, unless to play something online.

After my little self tourer, I went back to my room and flopped on my couch. “Maybe I can nap today.” I thought, but before I could go through with it, my phone buzzed. I rolled over and picked it up. “Asuna?” I raised an eyebrow and opened the text.

“Hay, I am close by. Mind if I come over?” What? She is out in this weather? I quickly respond. “Sure. Get over here fast.” I sent it and sat up. Why is she out in this? It better be for a good reason. After a few minutes, a knock came at my door. Getting up, I opened it to see a wet Asuna standing there and I let her in. “So, why exactly are you out in this?” I asked her as she removed her jacket.

“I was visiting Rika, and it wasn’t as bad when I went to her house, but on the way home it picked up. Then I remembered you were nearby and thought I could take shelter here.” Asuna said, holding her hands behind her back and facing me.

“Huh, well, I guess that is alright for you to stay here till the storm passes.” I said, taking a seat on the couch.

“So, how have you been spending today?”

“Just laying around. I would be online, but I kinda don’t have motivation. I am actually kinda glad you came over. Least I have someone to talk to.”

Asuna smiled. “Well, glad I could brighten up your day, so to say.”

“Yeah. Anyway, want anything?” I said, getting up to get something from the kitchen.

“Just some water is fine.” Asuna said, getting up and walking over to one of my shelves full of DvDs and video games.

I grabbed out some glasses and filled them up, while getting out some chips. To be honest I was really happy to see Asuna, since she is my best friend, and also since I may have had a large crush on her, and I wish I could tell her, but I then the rumors of her and this guy named Kazuto. But, maybe I can ask her about it.

I returned to the living room with the snacks and sat them down. Asuna already had the TV on and I saw she put in a Borderlands 2. I sat down next to her. “Borderlands huh?” I asked, grabbing my controller. “It looked interesting.” Asuna said as we got to the character screen. I had all the DLC so every character was available, and I decided to pick my favorite character, Zer0. (I am a Zer0 man, Ninja Sniper For the Win.) Asuna on the other had pick Maya. “So, any tips for the newbie?” Asuna asked, but I could sense the teasing nature in her voice. “Don’t get cocky?” I said, smirking as the game began.

(Two hours later.)

We reached Sanctuary finally, and I thought it was a good stopping point. After turning off the consual, I stretched and let out a sigh. “So, what do you think?” I asked, setting down the controller and sitting up. “Not bad. Think I might come over and play again.” Asuna said. I took one look outside and saw that the rain was still going.

“Well, mother nature is still going strong.” I said. “What do you want to do next?”

“How about a movie?” Asuna asked.

“Alright, your pick.” I said.

I got up and got more snacks and stuff, and while in there, was working up my courage. “Come on, just ask her about it.” I said to myself, and then returned to the living room. Asuna was still looking. “You have a weird selection of movies.” Asuna said. “Yeah, I kinda like older movies, the good old days.” I said. “Well I never heard of most of these. Some of them sound like horror movies.” Asuna said, looking at one called The Prowler. “I happen to enjoy a good slasher film. Here, why don’t you let me pick one.” I said walking over. “What’s your prefered movie genre?”

“Mmmm, fantasies, but also a few sci-fis.” Asuna said.

“Mmmmm, I don’t have much in that way. Here.” I pulled out one of the many King Arthur movies I had.

Popping in the disks I took my seat on the couch, Asuna sitting next to me. I didn’t blush, since I was actually use to Asuna being this close to me. As the movie began, I worked up the courage and decided to ask. “So, um, I heard a rumor about you and that Kazuto guy.” I said, this Asuna to sigh rather heavily. “You too?” Hearing this, I looked at her and sawed the annoyed look. “You get caught hugging him and it’s a big deal.” Asuna complained.

“Hugging him? Is that all?” I asked.

“Yes. We been friends for a bit, and it was only a hug. But one person saw and that is all it takes.” She said annoyed. “Honestly I was hoping you didn’t hear about it.”

“Why’s that?” I asked, feeling a little heat in my face.

That was when Asuna leaned against me, her head on my shoulder as she hugged my arm. “Cause I happen to like someone else.” She smiled and looked up at me, a nice smile on her face as she leaned up, her hands on my shoulders as she pushed my down and kissed me.

Stunned at first, since the girl of my dreams was on top of me and kissing me, but quickly I regained my train of thought and began kissing her back. We kissed for a good bit, no longer caring about the movie and now more focused on this. When we finally separated we both were panting. “I love you.” I blurted out. Asuna smiled and snuggled against my chest. “I love you too.” She said.

For the rest of the movie, we stayed like this, and once the movie was over, I checked the time. The rain had stopped, but it was getting late now. “If you want, you can stay the night.” I said, looking at her. Asuna smiled and gave me a peck on the lips. “Sure, I would love to.” Asuna said, laying back down on my chest. I grabbed the blanket that was draped over the back of the couch and covered us, giving Asuna a kiss good night.
