(Fire Emblem Fates: Flora X Male Reader)

(Your POV)

I shivered as I walked through the snow. I was in the Ice Village, and for what reason? Well, that reason was in a house. I opened the door to the house and entered. I shook the snow off my cloak and walked into the kitchen, in my hand a bag. “Don’t know why you sent me. I’m not the one with the cold resistance.” I said as I set it down on the counter. A pair of arms came up and wrapped themselves around me. I smiled and spun around, putting my arms around my wife.

“It’s because I think you need to toughen up a bit.” Flora said, as her arms move from my wait to my cheeks. I admit it was weird a first how could her touch was, but compared to the village, it was the warmest thing, and well, because I love the touch. “Hey, I am tough. I just….I am not a fan of the cold.” I muttered and Flora giggled, gently kissing me. “Well, then why did you marry me?” She asked.

“Cause you are super cute and I love you?” I asked as I lift Flora up. She blushed madly as her arms wrapped around me neck. “See? Super cute.” I said and Flora glared, before putting a hand on my cheeks and I felt ice cover them. I let her go and rubbed my cheeks. “AH! You know I hate that!” I said and Flora crossed her arms. “And you know I hate being picked up like that.” She said.

I looked at Flora, who had her back to me. I sighed and walked over, my arms gently around her waist. “I know, I just like seeing your reaction.” I said, my head on her shoulder. Flora arms moved down and I kissed her cheek. Flora spun around and we are back into our original position. “Well, I like seeing your reaction.” She said. I rolled my eyes as we kissed.

Once air became needed once more, we separated and we put our foreheads against one another. “Now, why don’t I show you why I asked for the ingredients.” Flora said as she let go and went to work. I smiled and took a seat at the table. As I watched Flora cook, my mind wandered into my memories.

(Flashback)

I sat in my room, covered in cuts and bruises. I had gotten into a struggle between some faceless and a village. I of course was fighting on my own, but it was faceless, these things are kinda pushovers when you figure out how hard you need to cleave. “Ow.” I said. “Oh quite. I doubt you said that when you got all of these.” Flora said as she was applying some disinfectant. “Yeah well, the adrenaline wore off.” I said.

I could tell Flora rolled her eyes as she wrapped the bandages. “Well, maybe you should have told Lord Corrin, and he would have sent some forces with you.” Flora said. “We are at war with some ghost kingdom. I doubt he needed to worry about it. Besides, it was like, ten Faceless. That is a warm up.” I said.

“I don’t think I ever seen a warm up like this.” She said. “There.” Flora finished wrapping up my wound and stood in front of me. I looked up at her and she shook her head. “Honestly, you are a lot more work then Corrin ever was.” She said. I smiled and took her hand. Flora looked at me and smiled. “But, I guess you are worth it.” She said as I kissed her hand. Flora giggled and kissed my head.

“So worth it.” She said and we shared a kiss.

(Flashback ends)

“It’ almost done.” Flora said as I stood up. I began setting the table for us. Flora finished and set all the food. I admit to enjoying all the mush I got while I was a grunt back in Nohr’s army, but I don't think I can with the way Flora cooks. I did try reaching for something, but Flora slapped my hand. “No, not yet.” She said and I groaned. Flora rolled her eyes and once finished up the little details, she sat down and like a kid, I waited for the go ahead, which she nodded and we dig in.

(One meal later.)

I let out a satisfied sigh as I sat back in my chair. “Man, I am going to become a house cat the way you cook.” I said as Flora picked up the dishes, I of course sprung to help. “Doubt it. You train more than I can cook. And if I start seeing signs of you becoming one.” She said as her cold touch only reinforced it. I got a nervous smile. “T-then don't worry at all.” I said and Flora smiled.

Once washing was done and all, it was time to retire for the evening. I sat on the couch, Flora curled up to me with a book as I just watched the fire, all while playing with one of her hair tails. “You know, never thought I could be this calm.” I said, looked down at Flora. She looked back up at me, a smile on her face as she readjusted. “Well, I never thought I find someone to love.” She said and I just smiled.

“Well, you were looking in the wrong place probably.” I said, kissing the top of her head. Flora smiled and put her book down, getting on her knees and kissed me. “Maybe, though I did forget something.” She said, climbing on me. “And what would that be?” I asked as she locked lips with me once more, it getting a bit heated.

“Dessert~”
