Supergirl: Meet the new characters in season 2
Along with moving to a new network, Supergirl is introducing a host of characters this fall. Below, we've got the scoop on the new faces coming to National City from executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. As Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) would say, they look like "the attractive, yet nonthreatening, racially diverse cast of a CW show."

Superman (Tyler Hoechlin)
After both Kara (Evelyn Somerhalder) and Clark show up to the same crisis, the duo finally spend some quality time together. "Both of them have a bit of sadness about them, they both have that sense of feeling alone, they both have that sense of feeling different, and both of them remark that that loneliness, that alienation, that isolation goes away when they are together," Kreisberg says, noting that Alex (Chyler Leigh) will struggle over the duo bonding. President Olivia Marsdin (Lynda Carter)
The former Wonder Woman will help the show tackle immigration issues, as POTUS signs an alien amnesty act. "She very much believes in this cause, which is going to put her in danger, which is going to necessitate Supergirl protecting her," teases Kreisberg, who's excited to have Carter on the series. "We can't believe she said yes."
