73. Real Life

"You were amazing Evelyn" Nina says as she and Ian met up with the starlet and Chris backstage after the show ended making Evelyn smile

"Thanks. It was incredible being in stage again even if it'll only be for a little while." She said as she led them to her dressing room, Ian and Chris staying outside since Evelyn was going to change out of her Carole King wardrobe and into something more casual.

"Have you told him yet?" Nina whispered making Evelyn press a finger against her lips and give her a glare

"Shh, he may hear you" Evelyn hissed and Nina gave her a sheepish smile apologizing for the question and Evelyn couldn't be mad at her for long. I mean who would be able to resist Nina's pouty lips and big wide eyes?

"But seriously have you?" Nina asked this time but much quieter as she sat on the little couch in the roo while Evelyn changed

"No. Not yet anyways. I mean it still hasn't sunk in yet" the actress replied pulling her hair into a messy bun once she was done changing. She had on a pair of leggings, a gray t-shirt and silver flats on.

"You're going to have to tell him before you start showing" Nina murmured as Evelyn sat beside her and sighed

"I know. I'll tell him once we finish shooting Supergirl. There's only one episode left to film and then I'll tell him" she said and Nina raised a brow

"You need to be careful while you film evje" Nina whispered and Evelyn nodded before looking towards the door when there was a knock followed by Chris's voice asking if they were ready to which Evelyn replied with a yes and stood up with Nina and joined their husbands on the other side of the door

"What were you two talking about that kept you inside for a while?" Chris asked with a raised brow making both Nina and Ian look towards them and Evelyn smiled

"About the last episode of Supergirl that airs Monday" she said and Chris nodded and followed after the couple in front of them

"Let's go have dinner in celebration of Evelyn's debut" Nina suggested and they all agreed and so that's how they ended up at The Grill.

"This place is absolutely amazing" Evelyn gasped as they entered the building

"And the food is to die for" Nina said as they were led to their table in the VIP area of the restaurant.

"I'm sure it is" Evelyn said thanking the host as he handed them their menus before taking their drink orders and telling them that their server will be with them shortly and then leaving the four alone.

"This all looks so good" Evelyn groaned as she looked at the menu making the three actors chuckle at the her antics and Chris gave his wife a tender kiss on the cheek before turning to his menu and deciding what he would be getting.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, my name is Jamie and I'll be your waiter for the evening. Here are your drinks, have you decided what you'll be getting or so you need more time?" A young blonde male said as he walked to their table a few minutes holding a tray with their drinks

"We're ready" Ian said before telling him his and Nina's order to the young man before

"And you?" Jamie asked turning Chris who nodded and told him his and Evelyn's order, "Alright I'll be back with those as soon as they're ready"

The couple's made small talk throughout dinner both about Supergirl being renewed for a new season and to them Nina and Ian announcing that they were throwing baby Phoenix a birthday party in December for his first birthday and invited them to join the celebration

"It's been a year already since Phoenix was born?" Evelyn asked in surprise, "Damn time flies by so damn fast. He's getting so big"

"I know. My little man is not so little anymore" Nina whined making them laugh

"Have you guys thought of having kids yet?" Ian asked looking at Evelyn for a split second making her narrow her eyes while Chris shook his head

"No actually, we haven't but when the times I'm sure we'll be ready" he replied looking at Evelyn with a smile that she returned

"You'll be an incredible dad Chris and Evelyn an amazing mother. You two are going to be perf-" Nina was saying before cutting abruptly making them look at her confused but before they could say anything, she was pushing off the table and running towards the restroom making Ian jump up and follow her

"What just happened?" Evelyn asked looking at Chris before her focus was in the direction that both Nina and Ian had gone off in

"I have no idea, sweetheart" Chris replied just as confused as she was. But Evelyn knew. Because she was expecting a baby as well. She didn't know how to tell Chris but I think it's about time that she got the courage to tell her husband that she was two months along.

"I need to tell you something" Evelyn said making Chris look confused but nodded because that's when Nina and Ian came back to their table.

"Are you feeling okay?" Chris asked looking at nina in conocen and she nodded giving him a small smile

"Yeah. We actually need to tell you both something" Nina said and they nodded

"I'm pregnant" she said and Chris blinked while Evelyn smiled standing up from her seat and walked over to them giving them a hug before whispering in Nina's ear

"I'm telling him" Evelyn said pulling back to give Nina a smile that she returned

"How far along are you?" Chris questioned Nina

"Not far. We actually found out last week that we were expecting another baby" She replied and he nodded

"We're happy for you both" Evelyn said and they smiled

"Thank you. Phoenix is excited to be a big brother" Ian said

"I bet. He's going to have a playmate" Chris said and from there, dinner continued like nothing happened with the exception of it now being about Nina and Ian's second child. Evelyn was nervous to say the least. She didn't know how to tell Chris about her being pregnant.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Chris asked later that night as he drove them to their NY apartment and Evelyn nodded

"Yeah, just tired" She says and he nodded not completely surprised seeing as she's been up since 4 am and it's already half past midnight.

"It's understandable love" he said giving her hand a small kiss making his wife smile. He's going to be an incredible father to their baby, Evelyn thought before she let sleep confuse her and Chris smiled at his sleeping wife. How did he get so lucky? He can't wait to start a family with her but until that day comes, he'll spend his time loving and caring for Evelyn. And little did he know that Evelyn and a surprise for him the next day.
