"Ready to see how your baby is growing?" The doctor asked as Evelyn and Chris entered the ultrasound room

"Yeah." They replied in unison with grins and the doctor smiled and had Evelyn step up the scale to take her weight before having her sit up on the cot

"How have you been feeling?" Doctor Gregory asked the starlet as he took a seat on his chair and wheeled it towards the bed as Chris held her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze

"Been good. Just the normal morning sickness and cravings" Evelyn replied and he nodded jotting it done on his clipboard

"Any pains?" He asked and she shook her head

"I mean yeah my back will hurt but that's because I'm sitting for a long period of time due to being on broadway but other than that nothing big." She said and Doctor Gregory nodded writing it down in his notes before putting his stethoscope in his ears and asking Evelyn to take deep breaths every other second as he checked her breathing before checking her blood pressure, and temperature. After all those tests were done he asked her to lay back and lift her shirt up so they could begin the ultrasound.

"Alright. Let's see your little one" he said as he typed on the computer beside Evelyn's head while Chris stood at her right looking at the screen. It was crazy to think that Evelyn was already 5 months along and she hasn't started showing which had been a blessing to them since they didn't want to announce the baby news just yet but they also had a feeling that after today, that Evelyn will begin showing and that they'll have to tell the work that they were expecting a child together. Nina had told them that when she was pregnant with Phoenix she didn't start showing until she was a little over five months about the same as Evelyn was right now.

"There it is" the Doctor said after moving the wand a few times, and when he stopped they could see a small figure on the screen that no longer resembled a  peanut but it was now as big as a small banana and Evelyn could feel her baby moving in her belly and smiled, "They don't like me very much as they keep trying to get away"

"Is it possible to tell the sex of the baby yet?" Chris asked as he watched the scene tears in his eyes and Evelyn looked up at her husband and smiled squeezing his hand before turning to face the scene again. Her heart felt whole. She never thought that she would ever get to feel this. Have this, but here she was laying on a cot in the clinic getting an ultrasound down with her husband beside her.

"Yes unless the little one doesn't let me" Doctor Gregory stated before moving the wand again trying to get a good view and after several failed attempts the doctor managed to get a good look, "I'm happy to announce that you're having a healthy baby boy" and the tears steamed down the couple's faces as the doctor showed them the image that showed that their baby was a boy.

"A baby boy" Evelyn whispered as they saw him in the screen and Chris gave a watery laugh

"God we're having a baby boy" he whispered before looking down at his bright eyes wife who was already looking at him with a smile and leaned down connecting their lips in a soft kiss before touching foreheads, "I love you so much"

"I love you too, we both do" she said with a smile

"Sorry to interrupt but how many copies would you like?" Doctor Gregory asked a few moments later making the couple look over at him completely forgetting that he was in the room and gave him an apologetic smile that he shook his head too as in saying it was alright

"Can we have 6?" Evelyn asked and the doctor nodding typing away on his computer before the sound of beeping filled the room and he handed them the pictures of the sonogram

"Thank you doctor." Chris said and once again the doctor only shook his head with a smile

"It's no problem. And Evelyn, I'd like to see back  for another check up in about three to four weeks. The closer you are to your due date the closer the appointments will be" he said and Evelyn nodded as Chris helped her sit up handing her a couple tissues to wipe the gel off from her belly before helping her off the bed once she had her shirt down.

After exchanging a few more words with the doctor, Evelyn and Chris walked out do the ultrasound room and went down the hall to make their next appointment before finally leading the clinic and were lucky that there weren't any paparazzi around when they arrived and when they were leaving.

"Want to get something to eat?"Chris asked as they got in the car and Evelyn nodded

"Yes please." She replied and he smiled, turning  the car car on and driving out of the parking lot before cursing when he saw a group of paparazzi following after them with cameras flashing as he drove away

"So much for not getting noticed" Evelyn mumbled as she shielded her face from the cameras and Chris sighed. One day, that's all he wished for. Just one day to have a day for themselves without being photographed and he knew that come tomorrow that there will be articles talking about them being at the clinic and why they were at the clinic which didn't sit well with them.

"What should we do?" Evelyn asked once they were finally away from the paparazzi

"It's up to you babe. We can either announce the pregnancy before the paparazzi do or we wait until your belly pops and then tell them" Chris said as he stopped at a red right and looked over at Evelyn who sighed rubbing her belly

"I have a feeling that it's going to pop tonight if anything" she said and he raised a brow before turning to the road when the light changed to green and began driving again

"Why do you say that?"

"I don't know I just have a feeling" she answered and he nodded

"So when do you want to announce the pregnancy?" Chris questioned looking over at her for a split second before pulling into a parking lot of a local diner and shut the car off but don't get out and instead turned in his seat to face his wife.

"I know pictures of us at the clinic will emerge sooner or later so I was thinking next week since articles tend to make rumors up and we can clear them once I can't hide my belly anymore" she said and he nodded

"Okay. Now come on, let's go get something to eat" he said and she smiled pulling him by the collar of his shirt and pecking his lips

"Love you" She said when he raised a brow in question and he smiled

"Love you too, the both of you"
