"So, what's the big announcement?" Evelyn asked as they sat around the table waiting for their food to arrive. All eyes were trained on the happy couple who couldn't keep their eyes off each other making their friends and in this case Ian's sister roll their eyes

"We're getting married" Nina answered with the biggest smile on her face making the table go quiet before it was filled with cheers and claps

"Fucking finally" Paul said making everyone laugh at his outburst while Evelyn got out of her seat and walked to her brother and soon to be sister in law and hugged them as tears filled her eyes

"I'm so freaking happy for you both. This is the best news I've ever gotten in a long time" she murmured and they smiled against her shoulder and gave her an extra squeeze before she pulled back and smiled at them tears rolling down her face making Ian smile and wipe them away

"We couldn't have gotten here if it wasn't for you. You helped us realize that we couldn't live without each other and that we would be miserable if we went our separate ways, Eve. You've helped us throughout our relationship and even though you were falling apart on the inside, you always knew the right words to say and I can't thank you enough for always being there for me" he said and Evelyn smiled with a sniffle

"Our roles have been reserved big brother. You have always been there for me and it was time for me to be there for you. I knew you loved her and she loved you and I knew how sad you two were when you two broke up the first time a few years ago and knew I had to do something to fix it. I wish you both nothing but the best in this new journey" she said and Ian and Nina smiled at her before hugging and giving her one last kiss before letting her go back to her seat.

After everyone had congratulated the happy couple on their engagement, and their food had been brought to their table, they all lapsed into conversation. Evelyn though, couldn't help but wonder back to the day she and Blake had announced their engagement and sighed. She would always remember the happy days but also the bad days. The day she learned her now ex husband had been cheating on her with a former co-star was hard time for her. She shook her head to clear those memories away and looked up and across from her at Chris and she felt her heart shatter as she saw him laughing who was laughing along to something Ian was saying and smiled. He's been there for her since day one and she really couldn't herself without him in her life. He held her as she cried when she found Blake and Dianna together.

Feeling eyes on him, Chris looked up and found Evelyn looking at him and raised a brow but she shook her head with a smile and he cocked his head making her stifle a laugh that in turn made him smile. Something told him that Evelyn was thinking to her own engagement announcement and he hated it when she went to that day. She had been so happy and excited to marry Blake that he had to bite his tongue to keep from saying anything that could ruin her day. And how much he wished he had said something to stop the pain that she was to feel in the end.

"When are you going to tell her?" A voice beside him startled Chris from his thoughts and looked up to Candice who raised a brow at him and he sighed shaking his head

"And if I do, who's to say she won't turn me down?" He asked in return

"She won't though. I know her enough to know that she won't turn you down" she replied but still, he shook his head and began eating the food that had been served while he was lost in his head.

"What has you so lost all dinner?" Evelyn asked a few hours later as they drove to their hotel

"What do you mean?" He asked takin a right turn

"You didn't say anything to anyone that tried make conversation with you" she said looking at him with a frown

"It was nothing just thinking" he answered and that made Evelyn even more curious and she cocked her head making a few strands of her hair fall and Chris wanted nothing more than to reach out and tuck it behind her ear but resisted that urge

"About what?" She asked wanting to know what kept her friend so lost that he didn't notice Donne Thad ended had it not been for her shaking him and telling him.

"Just things. Like work and how we have to fly to Vancouver to finish shooting" he replied deign the last bit knowing Evelyn would ask what he was thinking about and she nodded bough she wasn't satisfied with the answer knowing Chris was thinking of something much more than just work but she let it go. She didn't want to push him if he didn't want to talk about it. The rest of the ride was spent in silence with accessional conversation between the pair. Both wanted to just shout it out to the world they loved each other but neither wanted to get hurt or rejected so they kept those feelings bottled up, but little did they both know that they'll be doing just that in a few months time.
