I was sitting next to Tyler in the gym at school where they were holding the memorial service for Carol, I couldn't believe that she was really gone, I mean she has been in my life for so long now she's just gone, and She was the only parent that Tyler had left.
I know how it feels to feel like you have no one, so I have just been by his side, waiting for him to talk to me, I don't want to push anything, just in case but I also don't want him to feel like he's alone, so I'm just going to stay by his side no matter how many times he tries to push me away.
"Carol Lockwood always said that togetherness in times of tragedy leads to healing, that one community is stronger than a thousand of its members." Liz spoke into the microphone at the podium and I let out a deep breathe as looked over a Tyler, "how does a community stay strong after losing its leader? And Carol was so much more than a leader, she was a open minded friend and a concerned mother, taken from us too soon by a terrible accident."
"Screw this." Tyler suddenly said getting up from his seat making my eyes widen as he quickly walked out of the gym and I chased after him.
"What? Tyler, wait, wait!" I yelled as I ran out in the hall way and gripped onto his arm but he yanked his arm out of my grip before looking towards me with dark eyes.
