Last Chapter - 38
With a gentle smile on her face, Mina placed a kiss on Chaeyoung's forehead resulting in the latter's lips twitching into a cute, content smile. Mina rubbed Chaeyoung's cheeks with her thumb, an effortless tear running down her own. "I'm sorry I made you wait. I'm sorry." Mina mumbled, gazing at the sleeping Chaeyoung.

"Looks like I still fell in love with you."

::Chapter 39::

Chaeyoung groaned, her hand grazing the space beside her only to feel the cold bed sheet under her hand. She slowly opened her eyes, seeing an empty space in front. With panic, Chaeyoung quickly sat up, almost hurting her neck.

"Min-" Chaeyoung was about to call her name, until the door opened. The cub looked towards the entrance of the room only to see the girl she was looking for, a plate in her hand.

"Good morning." Mina greeted, placing the tray beside her. Chaeyoung watched in confusion, a little clueless as to what was happening. Usually she would be the one giving food to Mina but now the places were switched.

"Good morning?" Chaeyoung returned, a tone with questioning. The cub slowly ate her food, glancing at Mina a few times who would watch her.

"Sorry if I suddenly left you, I just wanted to return all the times you've taken care of me. I know breakfast isn't enough but I have to start somewhere.." Mina trailed off, not noticing Chaeyoung's hand touch the corner of her lips, "Chaeyo-"

"You're smiling." Chaeyoung chuckled, going back to eating a spoonful, "And don't worry about it. Breakfast is more than enough to thank me." The cub reassured, only to be stopped by two hands grabbing her cheeks.

"Mina-?"

"No. You don't understand." Mina interrupted, looking at Chaeyoung in the eye. "I-I need to tell you something." The dancer spoke, making sure she has Chaeyoung's full attention.

The cub let go of the utensils, looking at Mina, "What is it?" Her voice was still a little hoarse from waking up but Mina understood otherwise. The Japanese girl took a deep breath. She wasn't ready for this. She didn't practice. And now she suddenly wanted to say it?

Am I ready? Just say it, dammit.

Just say the three words.

It's easy.

Mina took in a sharp breath, her eyes meeting with Chaeyoung's, she opened her mouth,

"Chaeyoung, I-"

~

"Dammit!"

"Hey no cursing in this room." Nayeon scolded, hitting Jeongyeon on the back of her head. Sana laughed, taking another bite from an apple, which was given by Tzuyu before she left.

Jeongyeon snickered, "Like you don't curse. You're not innocent, unnie." The ostrich retorted, going back to the game she was playing with Dahyun. Nayeon rolled her eyes playfully, glancing at Sana.

"Anyways," Nayeon smiled, "You feeling any better?" The eldest asked, sitting on the side of the bed. Sana yawned, subtly nodding at the question.

"Better than the last few days. But I've had better days." Sana chuckled, relaxing into the pillow underneath her back. Nayeon could only agree considering Sana was pretty straightforward about her condition.

"Well, it's a start to something, right?" Nayeon smiled, ruffling Sana's head. Her hair getting a little messy but the squirrel paid no attention to it.

"I guess it is." Sana sighed, finishing the fruit with one last bite. As the atmosphere had gone silent, aside from the game audio, no one had spoken up. Until Of course, Jeongyeon decided to pause the game.

"By the way, Sana?" The ostrich gently put down the controller, standing up from the couch.

"Hm?"

Jeongyeon looked down at her hands, "If we find a donor, are you going to accept it or reject it, like last time." Everyone went silent by the question, looking at Sana, aside from Dahyun.

Sana smiled, "Yes."

Dahyun's eyes lit up, quickly glancing at Sana, a smile on her face, "Really?" Sana nodded, returning a faint smile which was genuine. Nayeon and Jeongyeon couldn't help by chuckle at Dahyun's delighted response.

"We need to find a donor, fast!" Dahyun smiled, rushing by Sana's side. Nayeon hummed, looking at Jeongyeon. The latter raised an eyebrow, concerned as to why the eldest was looking at her like that.

"Why are you giving me that look?" The ostrich questioned, taking a step back from Nayeon. The eldest's lips curved into a smile, laughing a bit beforehand.

"How about Jeongyeon? Don't you think she would be a great donor." Nayeon suggested, of course as a joke. The ostrich slapped the eldests' arm, not fond of the joke she made.

"Look, I love Sana but right now I still need my heart." Jeongyeon commented, crossing her arms. Sana giggled, amazed that Nayeon and Jeongyeon are still friends.

Sana nodded in agreement to Jeongyeon, "Yeah, I'll just wait." She smiled, making the two eldest return a smile as well. Dahyun loved that both Nayeon and Jeongyeon did a great job with putting a light to the saddening atmospheres.

"Wow you guys are having a party here." A voice chuckled, catching everyone's attention. Sana smiled at the visitor, who was technically someone she saw almost everyday now.

"Hi Doctor." Dahyun greeted, followed by Nayeon and Jeongyeon. The doctor laughed, subtly waving her hand at the three standing up.

"Geez, no need to be so formal with me." The doctor smiled, approaching Sana's side probably taking some tests. Something that was pretty much part of Sana's monthly routines.

Dahyun shyly hummed, "So..Can I call you-"

The doctor glanced at the three students, "Just call me Moonbyul. No need to call me doc or doctor when we're alone." Moonbyul, the doctor, smiled, reassuring the three. Sana giggled, waiting for the doctor to finish.

As Moonbyul was taking some notes, Nayeon cleared her throat, "U-Uhm, Moonbyul?"

"Hm?"

"When do you think we'll find Sana a donor?" Everyone looked to the doctor once the question was asked and Sana couldn't help but avoid their eyes. Moonbyul put her clipboard down, sighing.

"To be honest with you, I'm not sure. We're trying our best to find her a donor but it'll take more time." Moonbyul finished with her duties before continuing, "Don't worry we'll get you a donor as soon as we can." The doctor smiled, before leaving the room.

Dahyun caught Sana's frown, approaching the squirrel's side, "Hey don't give up. I promise you Sana, we'll help you find a donor."

Everyone stared at the Japanese student with a sympathetic look on her face, "Dahyun.." Sana choked on her spit, grabbing Dahyun's wrists and pulling her into a hug.

Jeongyeon and Nayeon couldn't help but feel pain as they see Sana struggle. Dahyun tightly hugged her back, making sure that Sana felt secure in her arms. "I'm here, Sana."

The sobbing inside the room got even louder as Sana couldn't stop her tears from coming, clinging onto the youngest like it was her last chance, "Dahyun-"

"-I don't want to go yet."
