Hey everyone! Since it's my birthday tomorrow, I decided to post two chapters today, as a gift from me to you >.<

Last Chapter - 41
"Just go rest for now, I still need to text Dahyun." Sana smiled, to which Chaeyoung followed. The cub walked towards the couch, sitting down and slowly falling asleep. The squirrel lied about texting Dahyun. It was late night, obviously she wasn't awake anymore.

Sana looked down, a tear rolling down her cheek as she clutched onto her heart. She glanced at her two friends, who were both asleep, "I'm not sure Chaeyoung-"

"-But I might say goodbye soon."

::Chapter 42::

"Good morning." Chaeyoung greeted, a plastic bag in her hand. Nayeon and Mina waved, though Mina avoided eye contact which Chaeyoung shrugged off. Sana returned a faint smile, her eyes lighting up when she sees what she's holding.

"I brought some food since I figured that you guys would be awake." Chaeyoung spoke, placing the container on the coffee table, in front of Mina. Nayeon hummed, looking at the plastic, Chaeng brought.

Nayeon chuckled, fetching something inside the bag, only for a small chocolate shaped tiger to rest in her hand, "Aren't you a little too old for this Chaeyoung?" Nayeon snickered.

Sana let out a laugh, along with Mina. Chaeyoung turned red from embarrassment, snatching the treat away from eldest's hands, "It's chocolate. So what if it's the shape of a tiger. Anyone can buy this." The cub mumbled.

Nayeon chuckled, ruffling Chaeyoung's hair. "I'm just joking, relax. Anyways, Who's staying tonight?" The eldest asked, looking at Mina for confirmation.

The dancer yawned, considering it was pretty early, "I believe Tzuyu and Dahyun. Tzuyu said she wanted to stay so Dahyun let her." Mina smiled, taking a bite from Chaeyoung's food.

Sana looked away, hiding her face from the others. Guilty. A few days had passed when Sana was in the hospital so Dahyun and Mina took the initiative to take care of her. They took turns and it got to the point where Sana started to feel guilty. She hated that both her two friends are sacrificing their time for her.

"Hey, Nayeon, Mina?" Chaeyoung's voice cut through Sana's thoughts. Both the two said people looked towards the cub, "There's a convenient store downstairs, can you buy some drinks? I forgot to get some." The cub chuckled.

Mina and Nayeon gladly did so, leaving the room to Chaeyoung. Once the door closed, the cub looked at Sana, a comforting gaze. "They're doing this because they want to. Don't feel guilty." Chaeyoung smiled, sitting beside Sana.

The squirrel's eyes widened, surprised that Chaeyoung saw through her smile, "H-How did you-?"

"It was pretty obvious." Chaeyoung giggled before ruffling Sana's hair. The shorter girl offered a gentle smile, something that Sana saw often these days, "We're here for you Sana. No matter what happens."

Sana smiled, holding Chaeyoung's hand, "You know, I'm really happy I met you." Sana chuckled, but the guilt in her heart still didn't leave. The cub laughed, her dimples showing.

"And I'm glad I met someone as clumsy as you." Chaeyoung teased which earned her a light slap on the arm. Sana watched and listened as Chaeyoung continued to talk. She couldn't help but be really thankful she met someone as selfless as Chaeyoung.

I'll really miss you Chaeyoung.

~timeskip~ late night

Mina stared into the bathroom mirror, remembering how and what she really wanted to say to Chaeyoung. After everything that happened, she finally got down to the truth. The truth that she should've known a long time ago. The truth that would've prevented her from hurting Chaeyoung.

With a grunt, Mina left the bathroom, letting out a frustrated sigh. She stared out the window of the café, her phone in her hand while her food rested in front of her, untouched. It was already 8:00 pm and now she was alone inside an empty store.

She would scold herself, telling herself to focus on the paper laying in front but it would never work. Mina's thoughts drifted to Chaeyoung. The penguin groaned, feeling herself get even lazier as each second passed.

"Wow, you stayed here for how long?" A voice interrupted, causing Mina to look behind her.

"..Dahyun?" Mina questioned, closing her binder, surprised that she suddenly came. The dancer fumbled with her shirt for a bit, nervous, why? Well she still didn't apologize for what happened during the time Jeongyeon told her about Sana's condition.

Dahyun smiled, sitting in front of Mina, "I asked Chaeyoung where you would be and she told me that you usually stayed here. So, I decided to talk to you." The younger student laughed, "Sometimes I think Chaeyoung is you're personal stalker."

Mina couldn't help but chuckle at the joke, though she still couldn't properly look into Dahyun's eyes. "By the way, Dahyun."

"Hm?"

"I forgot to say-" Mina looked into Dahyun's eyes, "-I'm sorry-" before Mina could even continue, Dahyun shook her head, putting a finger to the dancers' lips.

"Say no more. What happened last time happened because I didn't tell you anything. It was my fault." Dahyun smiled, patting Mina's head, "So don't apologize."

"But I screamed at you-"

Dahyun playfully rolled her eyes, "Listen." The younger student looked into Mina's eyes, her expression suddenly going serious, "You were shocked about Sana. You had all the right reasons to scream at me. So don't stress about it to much. Ah, I need to go, I forgot my bag at home." Dahyun chuckled, grabbing her phone.

Before Dahyun can leave, she called Mina's attention, "And by the way. Make sure to tell Chaeyoung soon, ok?" The younger student winked, leaving the café. Mina's cheeks went red, surprised that already Sana and Dahyun knew about what she was thinking.

As if a boost of confidence, Mina packed all her bags, saying goodbye to the clerk and leaving the building in a hurry. The dancer couldn't help but let a smile crawl on her face. "Maybe today.." Mina smiled, opening her phone, her finger hovering over Chaeyoung's contact.

As she was about to call the cub, her phone had transitioned to someone calling her.

Chaeyoung.

Mina's eyes widened, her excitement yet nervous feeling flowing through her body. As if instantly, Mina accepted the call, bringing the phone to her ear.

"Chae-" Mina breathed in, calming herself down, "Chaeyoung!" Her smile got wider, her voice filled with excitement.

But something changed. "Mina!" Chaeyoung's voice wasn't calm, it was filled with panic and worry. Mina's excited expression faded as she could hear the desperation in Chaeyoung's face.

"Chaeyoung?" Mina tried to calm the poor cub down, "Calm down, is everything ok? What happened?"

Chaeyoung's voice shook, her breaths were shallow, "Mina-"

"I-Sana-" Chaeyoung took a deep breath,

"-She's not in her room and I can't find her anywhere, I can't contact her, Mina-She's gone!"
