After school, I headed to the Avengers building because I really needed to complain to Tony. "So now I have to actually try in school?! May I remind you that I already graduated a year ago."
Tony shakes his head, trying to go through the paperwork on his desk as he's listening to me. "It's only for a few more weeks, okay? I don't want anyone to think anything of you dropping out so quickly."
I groan in announce, but agree. "Fine... whatever."
Tony sighs, looking up at me and finally looking me in the eye. "Wait, was that why you came here? To complain?"
"Yes." I respond. "I also wanted to avoid going home and doing chores. So, here I am."
Tony chuckles lightly, shaking his head at me. "Okay..."
"So..." I sigh out of boredom. "Is there anything I can help you with?"
Tony hesitates, looking around the room. "Sure," He decides. "I'm starving. You could make me a sandwich?"
I gasp, pretending to be offended. "I'm not a housewife! Or your butler!"
"You asked for something to do!" Tony argues.
"Fine!" I give in again because I was just that bored. "But then I'm going home!" I pause to think about what I just said. "Or actually, Peter should be home from his Decathlon meeting so I'll just go to his house." I think aloud.
"Yeah." Tony nods, now only half listening, his focus mainly on the papers in front him. "Of course you are."

(Peter's POV)I woke up to my phone buzzing like crazy. I reach over to my nightstand to answer it, but that's when I heard a knock. And it wasn't coming from the door. I sat up, slowly getting up from my bed, my heart rate picking up speed. I peek around my bed post just as my phone stops ringing. I gazed out the window and there stood Reece on the other side of it, standing out in the cold of the night.
I then run to the window, quickly unlocking it and letting her inside. "Reece!" I exclaim.
"Good morning to you, too." She responds, clearly out of breath.
"Morning?" I furrow my eyebrows, looking back at my digital alarm clock on my nightstand. The time read 2:36 am. I quickly close my window once she's fully standing inside my room, shaking my head as I turn back to look at Reece who goes and sits on my bed. "What were you doing outside? And why are you out of breath?"
She removes her gym shoes from her feet, tossing them across the room. "I was walking home from the post office because Will had sent the rest of my stuff from the lab in the mail. I forgot about it until, like, a couple hours ago. So, I went to go pick it up, but ended up stopping a jewelry store robbery instead, and by the time I got to the post office, it was closed and by the time I got back here, I realized that I left my key in my room, along with my phone." Reece explains, all in one breath.
I raise my eyebrows at the robbery part, now super awake and very intrigued. "Wait, go back to the robbery part..."
Reece raises her eyebrows in confusion. "...What about it?"
"Are you okay?! Did you catch them?!"
Reece smiles slightly at me. "Yes, I'm fine, and yes, I caught them."
I grin back at her, taking a deep breath. "Good."
She nods, sighing. "Sorry I woke you up."
I shake my head, crossing my arms. "You didn't wake me up."
"Don't lie to me."
"Okay, you woke me up." I give in. "But I'm okay with that." And I can't stop smiling and staring at her.
Her face turns a bright pink as she blushes, trying to control her wide grin. She opens her mouth to say something, but hesitates. "Uh... before I forget, can you help me with the AP calculus homework?"
I laugh at her sudden subject change, nodding my head. "Definitely."
"But not right now." She explains. "It's way too late and I sure as hell don't what to do it right now."
"So you're going to do it a minute before class starts?" I guess, already knowing this would be her go to.
"How'd you know?" She responds, jokingly.
We laugh, but then it gets quiet. I have something on my mind that I really want to say, I just don't know how. Or if I should. But I think I definitely should. "I'm sorry..." I begin with no other context as to what I could be talking about.
Reece raises her eyebrows at me, obviously confused. "Sorry about what?"
I take a deep breath, moving my desk chair closer to the bed so I could sit and talk to Reee face to face. "Just... for everything that's happening right now, I guess. I know you hate talking about your mom... and to find out she's alive? Working for Hydra?"
Reece looks away, biting her lip.
"I'm sorry..." I repeat, almost in a whisper.
Reece shakes her head, only glancing over in my direction. "It's not your fault."
"I know..." I answer. "But I'm still sorry. And I worry about you."
"I know." She cracks a smile at that. "I'm okay, though."
I raise my eyebrows, staring into her eyes. "Are you?"
She hesitates, staring back, not wanting to lie anymore. So she doesn't say anything at all. I bite my lip and she looks down at her hands, hiding her emotions. I get up from my chair, moving to sit next to Reece to pull her into a hug, which leads to us cuddling in my bed.
And I accidentally drifted off to sleep. I don't know if Reece did too, but when I woke up the next morning, she was gone.
May came in just as I sat up, letting me know that she had attempted to make some breakfast and that I should try it. After that I quickly got changed and rushed down to Reece's apartment where I knocked on the door like I did almost every morning and waited.
And surprisingly, Ms. Healy was the one who opened the door. "Peter?"
"Hello." I smiled kindly at her.
"If you're looking for Reece, she already left." She explains, looking just as confused as I felt.
"Oh... Really?" I furrow my eyebrows. Why would she leave without me? But I shake my head anyways and slowly back up. "Okay, thanks anyways, Ms. Healy."
"Yeah, anytime." She nods slowly and I turn to walk down the hall.
As I'm rushing down the stairs, I get my phone out of my back pocket and try calling Reece, but she doesn't answer. I sigh in frustration, quickly making my way out the building so I could find an alleyway. Once I find one and I see no one is around, I grab my Spider-Man mask from my backpack, put it on, and then put my hoodie over my head so if someone were to find me, I'd at least be half hidden.
"Hey, Karen." I talk softly, gazing at my surroundings.
"What's up Peter? Isn't school starting soon?" She asks, always looking out for me like some sort of overprotective mother. I think Mr. Stark designed her that way on purpose.
"I need you to track down Reece." I respond, ignoring her question.
"Okay..." Karen replies, and I wait for further information. "Dana has her location on lockdown. Should I override it?"
I hesitate, taking a deep breath. Is this a complete violation of Reece's privacy? Maybe? But then again, she could be in complete mortal danger. "Yes."
"Reece is currently at the Avengers facility building. Should I try contacting her again?"
"No..." I answer, quickly unzipping my backpack again and this time, pulling out my full suit. "I'll just meet her there."
