Your POV

"What do you think his name is?" Maria asked me.

I looked at her. "I don't know. What could any of their names be?"

From what we could tell, both men Maria and I looked curiously at seemed to be close friends. We didn't want to pry into information yet though. Not yet.

Maria thought a moment. "What if we went to Mother Iris? She seems to know a lot about the creatures in this universe! Maybe she could tell us at least what species these things are!"

Mother Iris wasn't our actual mother. She kept peace between many species, protected smaller planets, and just kept certain things in line. She knew about many of the species this universe, maybe even all of them! Maria and I often came to her with questions, and we grew a nice bond with her because of it.

I nodded. "Perfect! We haven't seen Mother Iris in a while; it'll be good to see her."

"Of course! Let's go!"

I laughed as Maria pulled me away from the huge creation, back into space.

"Miss Maria! Miss (Y/N)! It's been a while!"

"Hello, Mother Iris!"

No matter how many times I'd be in front of Mother Iris, her presence was always captivating. She was an angel though, of course her presence was astounding. Her hair seemed to be created from the colors of the galaxy itself, falling in long, thick curls. Her eyes shined like the brightest and biggest of golden stars. Fluffy, wide angel wings covered her back and a solid silver tiara was nestled in her worldly locks.

She smiled brightly as we approached her. "What brings you two lovely sirens here today? I was starting to think you ran out of questions!"

Maria laughed. "We do in fact have a question, Mother Iris. But don't worry, we'd still visit you even without having a question."

"Even if I'm one of the oldest beings in this universe?" she replied, a teasing look in her eyes.

"Even so," I answered, giggling. Yes, Mother Iris was billions of years old, but young and lovely at heart, inside and out.

Mother Iris smiled again. "Relaxing to hear. What do you seek knowledge for?"

"There's this big, floating creation near that planet you called... Earth, was it? But, in that thing.. there's creatures in it! And they almost look like us! Except... they're not us?" Maria spoke after a moment.

"Yeah! They have.. what looks like two small tails or something, and round ears. They also dress pretty oddly in there," I added.
