4 months later
I was with Niyah at her 4 month doctors appointment. We get to find out to gender today and I'm not gone lie, I'm actually kinda happy.
"If it's a girl I swear she gone be so cute!"
Niyah squealed rubbing her small stomach. She had a lil bump showing, you could tell she was pregnant at this point. I rubbed my hands together and got up walking towards her.
"Ion care what we have as long as it's healthy, imma be good."
"Would have been better if we could've been a family."
I heard her mumble.
"Huh?"
She looked at me and shook her head. I knew Niyah wanted to be with me but ion even know if I feel that way about her. I'm not tryna hurt Unika again either.
"L'a do you love me?"
She asked catching my attention. I looked at her.
"Ofc I do."
Since she's been pregnant we got closer.
"Like as a girlfriend tho?"
I sighed and sat on a chair beside her.
"Idk yet."
"It's so easy for you to love that girl at home tho."
"That's cause Nika really be riding through all the shit I put her through. If I need something she always there to make sure I'm straight. She's a true ride or die cause I know I be doing that girl wrong sometimes."
"I mean, I could be that for you too."
I shrugged.
"Its not that easy tho cause I know she hurting rn. There ain't shit I can really do to fix it."
"What she got to be hurt about?"
Niyah be acting so clueless some times.
"Us, this situation I put her in."
She shrugged.
"You don't gotta feel bad tho. I mean y'all wasn't together, we didn't plan for this to happen. We both just fucked up but the type of she she be wishing on me ain't fair to both of us."
"Ion really think she be meaning all that shit. I think she's more hurt than anything right now, she prolly don't even know what to do or say anything. You gotta really love someone to honestly stay with them through this."
"I take it you have no plan on leaving her any time soon."
"Why would I? She been down for me for almost 2 years."
Nika ain't even been talking to me lately. She left the room completely and is now sleeping in the guest room. I just let her cause I know she needs her space. I really want us to be able to get through this together, have that strong unbreakable relationship but I know she gotta figure herself out. The doctor finally came in the room and started getting everything ready.
