Chapter 16: The Return of the Queen

2 hours later...

Fully recovered na kaming lahat, mahusay ang pagpapagaling samin ng mga healer agents kanina sa pagamutan kaya't okay na rin ang pakiramdam namin. Kumain na rin kami ng elixir candy. We are currently seated on the large saddle at the back of Caelia, gently soaring through the sky. We are on our way home. Pinag-uusapan namin ang tungkol sa nangyari kaninang final evaluation.

"Missy, you were really cool earlier when the smoke cleared after Master Azhuro's water bomb attack. You stood your ground, looking unfazed," Wendy remarked with delight.

"I'm just grateful I managed to withstand his attack. There are times when my entire body doesn't completely penetrates when I'm nervous. I was just lucky earlier," Missy replied.

"Do you guys remember the moment when we were hit by those four tsunamis? I was so surprised to see Aira's force field barrier seemingly slowly melting," Lee recalled.

"Yeah, it seemed impossible for the force field to melt, so it was really intriguing."

"Don't underestimate his water manipulation abilities. He's a Master, and he has techniques that can give him additional strength and advantages," Josh interjected.

"But I was really worried about Aira; she got hit by a large ice blade from behind. I thought something bad might happen to her... thankfully, I was able to save her," expressed concern in Missy's voice.

"What?!" Gulat na gulat silang tatlo nang marinig ang sinabi ni Missy.

"Are you okay now, Aira?" Lee asked quickly.

"Do you still have a wound?" Wendy inquired with concern.

Samantalang si Josh naman ay nanatiling tahimik habang nakatingin sakin ng seryoso. Hindi nila aakalaing halos nasa bingit na ng kamatayan ang buhay ko kanina.

"Guys, don't worry about me; I'm fine now. Wendy helped me earlier and carefully removed the ice blade from my back. There's hardly any trace of a wound, thanks to Missy's skill in using her powers. I didn't even know she could heal." I said with a smile.

"Healing you depleted my mana energy. I only tried that technique again now; I don't usually need to heal myself because, as I mentioned, I can navigate through things without getting injured," Missy explained.

Nagpatuloy ang usapan hanggang sa makarating na kami sa bahay ng grandparents ko. Bumaba na 'ko mula sa pagkakasakay kay Caelia at gano'n din si Josh. Pinagmasdan namin silang tatlo.

"I'll just accompany the two of them; I'll be back shortly," said Lee, a gesture acknowledged by both Josh and me.

"Take care," Josh said seriously.

"Congratulations again," Wendy added.

Nagpaalam na kami sa kanila at umalis na rin sila. Nagkatinginan naman kami ni Josh. Kinabahan ako ng dahan-dahan siyang lumapit sakin hanggang sa maramdaman ko na lang na niyakap niya 'ko. Sakto lang ang pagkakayakap niya at hindi mahigpit. Isinandal niya ang chin niya sa balikat ko.

"I didn't know something unpleasant happened to you earlier. I'm sorry I didn't notice or help," he softly said.

"You don't have to apologize, Josh. Don't worry, everything's fine now."
