Chapter 32: An Angel

Hindi ko alam kung ano ang sunod naming gagawin ni Josh. Napapaligiran na kami ng mga armadong lalaki at nasa harapan naman namin si Lukas habang nakangisi. Hinawakan ni Josh ang kamay ko nang mahigpit. Napalunok na lang ako.

Anong gagawin namin? Katapusan na ba namin ngayon? Mamamatay na ba kami rito sa kinatatayuan namin? Nakakainis kasi e, pasalamat sila at hindi ako makalaban ng maayos kasi puro sugat ang katawan ko. Feeling ko nga may trangkaso ako.

"Stay by my side, okay?" Josh whispered. I just nodded. Inilibot ko ang paningin ko at naghahanap ng magiging hakbang namin para makatakas kami. Kinabahan ako nang pumalakpak si Lukas.

"Make a wish before you two go to hell," he said, Hosh tightening his grip on my hand. I felt a surge of anxiety. I hoped someone would help us. I'm scared to die! I'm too young for this. God, please help us escape from this devil.

I tried to summon a force field in my hand, and I managed to do it. Despite feeling weak, Josh and I would fight.

"You know, Aira, you could just join us. You could be the Princess of the entire Dark Wonderland, and I could be the Prince. Don't you want to see our father happy?" Lukas said.

I stared at him intensely. How did he know about our father? Wait, speaking of him... is he really Zachary? No! I know it's not him; I can feel that my father is a good person. And what's his problem pretending to be my brother?

"I don't want to be the Princess of hell, so I'll never join you," I firmly replied. Lukas clapped his hands, and with each clap, sparks of orange appeared. He smiled widely at me, but I knew it was fake. I guess, a fake evil smile.

"My little sister, you're just tormenting yourself. I know you've missed our father for a long time, so why don't you want to join us? Don't you want to be with our beloved father? Don't you want to see him happy and smiling?" I looked away from him.

Parang binuhusan ako ng napakalamig na tubig. Gustong-gusto kong makita si Papa at para mayakap siya. Matagal ko na siyang hinahanap, miss na miss ko na siya. Parang nanghina ang mga tuhod ko, parang may nagsasabi saking makinig kay Lukas at sumanib sa kanila.

Binitawan ko ang kamay ni Josh at naglakad ng isang hakbang. Naramdaman kong hinawakan ni Josh ang balikat ko kaya napatingin ako sa kaniya.

"Aira, huwag kang makinig sa kaniya. Mapapahamak ka lang kapag sumama ka sa kaniya." Sa sinabi niyang iyon, para akong nahilo kaya hinawakan ko ang sentido ko at hinilot iyon. Anong nangyayari sakin? Napailing na lang ako at pumikit nang mariin.

Idinilat ko na ang mga mata ko.

"Tss, what's your decision, little sister? Will you join us or not?" Lukas asked. I immediately shook my head.

"I won't join you. That will never happen." His jaw clenched, and his eyes flickered. His eyes changed color again, turning red. Josh and I instinctively stepped back.

"Kill them both!" Lukas shouted. Before the armed men could attack us, the sky suddenly brightened, and a white light enveloped Josh and me. Lukas attempted to strike us with lightning, but the white light intercepted it.

"Josh, anong nangyayari?" Tanong ko sa kaniya.

"H-hindi ko alam." Tumingala kami sa kalangitan at nakita naming mas lalo pang lumiwanag ang kalangitan. Seconds later, we saw an angel piercing through the clouds. My eyes widened in disbelief. An angel? I stared at her, mesmerized by her beauty and near perfection.

She wore golden armor with red designs and held a stunning sword, seemingly made of gold. Her white wings were also magnificent. She smiled at me before turning her gaze towards the Darkerians and Lukas. She soared into the sky, raising her sword.
