I can't believe I loved you part 2

You looked at him confused.

"What do you mean?" You asked 

He sighed

"Did Grayson ever mention a girl named Veronica to you?"

You shook your head while saying "no"

"Veronica was.....she was despicable. Grayson met her in a club one night and they really hit it off. They got each other's numbers and became friends. They both started developing feelings for each other until finally Grayson asked her out. She said yes. Grayson Loved Veronica dearly but Veronica didn't love him at all. She used him for fame, money, popularity everything but no one saw it even I didn't see it. However Grayson found out something that tour him apart. She cheated on him. Multiple times. His heart ached but he loved her so he didn't care what she did. Veronica came home one night and Grayson immediately knew something was up. She had this look in her eye that would haunt someone for years. Grayson went to ask if she was ok but stopped as he saw her hands balled in a fist. She walked up to Grayson and punched him right in the face she didn't stop she continued to assault him hit him, slap him, punch him, kick him anything. She cuffed Grayson to the bathroom door as she abused him more. He didn't fight back, touch her, stop her he didn't even lay a finger on her as he let her get her way. This went on for days y/n it went on for months. He had little food in his body, he was beaten everyday and was forced to watch his girlfriend have sex with another guy every night. She let Grayson out of the cuffs but only for a little amount of time a day. She didn't want anyone to get suspicious like he was aloud to film but would have to come straight home. He was terrified of her. I noticed the cuts, the bruises, his thinness, his quietness, his change in personality I noticed it all and I became worried. I confronted him about it but he denied it all and I stupidly believed him. One day I was heading to his house to drop off some stuff that he left at mine. I noticed how his front door was open so I stepped inside. I walked up the stairs and their it was. The scene from a horror movie. Grayson handcuffed to the bathroom door beaten. Covered in blood. I ran to him. I held him in my arms. I asked him who did it and he replied with a slight "Veronica" it all clicked. It all made sense. This is why she was so over protective off him, this is why he always had to be home after we filmed, this is why he would rush videos, this is why he changed, this is why he fell apart it was so obvious now. I rang the police of course and she was sentenced to 10 years in prison. After that he was completely different. He locked himself away from the world abandoned his social media, refused to film, wouldn't eat, wouldn't sleep, he would have nightmares every night, he would have breakdowns throughout the day. I once found him in the corner of his room curled up in a ball crying and shaking. I lost my brother. I lost his happy self. He was destroyed. He was......broken. The way he just cried on the floor for hours on end still haunts me. He wasn't Grayson anymore he changed and fell apart. Until he met you. I remember seeing him smiling walking down the stairs that he wouldn't walk on for so long just rambling on and on about this amazing girl. The look on his face when he spoke about this girl was just the happiest sight in the world. He was actually happy which was something I wanted to see for so long. The way he talked about her, the way he would go on and on about her. God his voice was filled with so much happiness. He now changed for the better. He got back into his old routines, he slept fine, he didn't break down often, he would leave his room, he would go outside, he would dance around the house, he would actually get ready for the day. He was happy again no he was ecstatic he loved his life now all because of that one girl he met, you. You made him smile everyday, you made him wake up with a smile on his face, you made him wake up happy. You were his happiness and he wasn't gonna let you go. I heard all the conversations you guys had. His laugh that made my heart lit up. I finally saw my brother happy and I couldn't thank you enough for bringing his happy self back. I remember him being super nervous for your guys' first date and seeing him come home with the biggest grin on his face. He told me everything he wouldn't stop going on and on about how beautiful you were, how kind you were, how funny you were, how generous you were. He was obsessed with you. The way he talked about you made me so happy. The way he spoke the way he loved talking about you. He's so terrified to loose you that that's the reason why he's having panic attacks now. He's so scared you'll fall for someone else and leave him. He's frightened you'll walk away and find someone new. He loves you. So fucking much y/n. You don't see it. The way he spoke about you the first day you met him is still how he talks about you now. Your the key to his happiness. You were the light at the end of his tunnel that he was so desperate to find. This is why he's so paranoid about guys talking to you, guys smiling at you, you coming home late, looking at lads he's petrified y/n but he can't help it. Veronica made him that way veronica tour him into pieces. He thought he could never love again because of her. He never meant to drive you away he never meant to end your guys' relationship he never meant to accuse you of cheating. It wasn't his fault. It's all Veronica's."

Tears rolled down your face as Ethan spoke.

"Oh my god" you whispered 

"He loves me" you whispered again 

You ran out of the room and booked it to your once shared house with Grayson. You reached the door and knocked after 2 minutes Grayson opened the door. The state he was in broke you. He had just been crying. His hair was a mess, bags under his eyes. It had been a day but look at him.

You threw your arms around him as you both fell to the floor none of you daring to break the hug

"I-I'm So s-s-sorry" he sobbed 

"It's ok. Ethan told me everything baby you don't need to apologise at all there's no reason for you to be sorry it's alright ok I love you so fucking much Grayson and your the only person I will ever love I'm all yours. I belong to you no one else. I'm not going anywhere baby at least not without you. Your coming with me wherever I go and I'm coming with you wherever you go. I'm gonna be with you every step of the way. I will walk by your side forever. I promise you."

He hugged you tighter 

"Your n-not g-gonna le-leave me" He sobbed 

"No baby I'm not going anywhere"

"I-i lo-love y-you y/n" he cried 

"I love you too, so much Grayson so much. Never forget that. Ever."
