Author's POV

The man sat up and laughed. He adjusted his glasses and smiled.

"Hehe.. I'm still alive you know," was all he said before standing up and leaving.

"Now, where did you go?" he said and looked around.

"I see. Hide and seek? I'll always find you." He laughed once again and limped away.

Jimin's POV

I held my face. Why am I like this? It's just Y/N in a mochi print apron. Nothing special about that. Then why the hell does my face feel so hot? Is the AC on in here? I'm pretty sure I'm just sweating.

Is it the fact that I'm in her house? I don't get myself anymore..

"Jimin. The food's done." She came out into the living room. Her hair was still up, and she was still in the apron.

"Okay.." I answered and followed her into the dining room.

"What was with you earlier?" She took a seat opposite of me.

"It's nothing. I was just having a headache," I lied.

"If you say so."

"I do say so."

...

She clasped her hands together.

"Thank you for the food," she said.

I did the same. I clasped my hands together.

"Thank you for the food."

I took a bite of my curry on my plate.

"So? Is it good?" she asked while eating hers.

"This is godly," I said.

"Why? Do you not eat good food back at your place?" She looked over at me.

"The boys can cook, but not very well. The only one who probably knows how to cook is Jin," I mumbled.

"How many friends do you have?" she said under her breath.

"8. Riku and Rika and 6 others you don't know."

She nodded, and we continued eating in silence.

"Have you just lived here all alone? By yourself?" I asked her.

She nodded.

"Must've been rough. Not having anyone to depend on," I said quietly.

"I've gotten used to it. It's not much of a big deal," she said.

For some reason, she looked so sad.

"What are you looking at?" She looked up at me.

"U-Uh. Nothing." Well she changed quick.

I continued eating my food.

Y/N's POV

He really is a strange one.

I finished my food and looked over at him. It seems he finished too.

"You done?" he asked me.

"Yeah," I replied.

...

"Well, I guess I'm going to get going," he said.

"Alright. See you." I opened the front door for him.

We smiled at each other and I closed the door.

"How awkward," I mumbled.

I slid down the wall, hugging my knees. I feel like something is developing. Something I am unfamiliar with. I don't want to admit it though..

Wake up Y/N. This isn't some sort of story where everything will turn out good in the end. I need to wake up.

I stood up and sighed.

"I'll just go to sleep," I said to myself.

I entered my room. I lied down on my bed and slowly fell asleep.

Riku's POV

I woke up to a buzzing sound from my phone. Geez who the hell is texting at 10am in the morning? I want to sleep more..

I grabbed my phone and looked at it.

Y/N: Hey Riku. Jiho and I are busy right now, and I don't trust anyone else, so can you do me a small favor?

Riku: Yeah, what is it?

Y/N: Can you go visit Flara? Something felt off about her yesterday, and I'm a little worried. I'm a bit busy, so I can't make it. Can you?

Riku: Of course! Send me her address.

Y/N: Okay. Thanks. Tell her I'm very sorry I couldn't make it.

Y/N: Her address is ################.

Riku: Will do!

Y/N: I'm glad I have a friend like you.

That last text really hit me hard. Is that all we'll ever be? Friends? I can't help but feel a little sad.

Riku: I will always be here for you. :D

She didn't answer. Must be really busy.

I went and got dressed.

I made some lunch for Flara just incase she was hungry.

"Rika! I'm going to meet a friend! See you tonight!" I yelled, hoping she heard me.

"Okay!" she yelled back.

I normally spoke Japanese with Rika instead of Korean since we're both Japanese. Sometimes I would speak to her in Korean though. How fun it is being bilingual.

I put on my shoes and headed for Flara's house.

I stood in front of her front door and rang the doorbell.

It took a while before she eventually answered, looking up at me in shock.

"Aren't you Y/N's friend? Rika or something?" she asked me.

"My name is actually Riku. Rika is my twin sister." I smiled, hoping she would smile back.

She did, except, it wasn't real.

"Come in," she said.

I stepped in her very organized apartment. Everything was colored black, grey, or red.

"So! How are you?" She smiled energetically.

I looked at her before smiling sadly.

"You know, you can drop the act. I can tell it's fake," I said.

"What are you talking about?" She smiled once again.

"Why are you smiling when you're in so much pain?" I asked her.

She paused for a moment.

"Was it that obvious?" she mumbled.

"Yeah."

"I see. Well, I guess I can't hide it from you huh?" she asked with tears in her eyes.

"You can hide it from others, just not me. I was once just like you," I whispered the last bit.

"Tell me. Why are you always smiling even though you're in pain?" I repeated.

"Well," she started.

A/N: Why must you make me feel like this, Flara? :(
